Chapter 14 – Roaring Lust Part 1
“What’s this about? Can you make it quick? I swear, it’s not my fault, I have nothing to do with this! Wait, it was me. I’m sorry!”
Since I had a feeling things were about to get messy, I decided to take the initiative in the conversation.
“…Did you know about Mii’s situation? Yuuta-sama, it’s not your fault. I apologize for the trouble Mii caused you…”
“Huh?”
“I can’t replace Mii, but, uh, this time, I’m here to apologize on her behalf to you…”
“What the heck…”
Sorry for reading so much. I’ve come to realize that becoming the protagonist of a soap opera drama is just not on the cards for me.
I thought about playing dumb, but it’s probably pointless to try to cover it up.
“Is Kurebayashi-san okay? Is she in any serious condition?”
“She’s just a bit weak, nothing life-threatening. Thank you for your concern.”
“Oh, it’s… it’s my fault for not being more careful and letting Kurebayashi-san end up like that. I’m really sorry.”
“Please don’t worry about it.”
I asked about Kurebayashi-san’s condition out of manners, but it seemed she was fine, just as Kimura-san had told me earlier. Well, at least I could breathe a sigh of relief.
I didn’t expect her to stick around all night if I ignored her, but causing a life-threatening situation by leaving her alone would’ve been a bad idea.
“But, uh, is Kurebayashi-san acting strange or anything?”
I didn’t intend to defend myself, but I couldn’t help asking.
“…..”
“Oh… I mean, I also had my shortcomings, but kneeling all night in an empty place is a bit too much, even for me.”
“…That girl…”
Her mom’s face twisted, like she didn’t want to think about it.
“Oh, if you don’t want to talk about it, there is no need to force yourself.”
“She’s struggling with obsessive thoughts.”
“Huh?”
“There’s actually something I want Yuuta-san to know about that.”
Despite my efforts to be considerate, it seems I can’t avoid the trouble. Oh well, I can’t be helped. I still don’t want to get tangled up with Kurebayashi-san if I can help it, but leaving her mom looking like this doesn’t sit right with me.
And probably.
Even though it’s something she’d rather forget, her mom probably wants to tell me about it.
Why did Kurebayashi-san end up acting so strange?
***
For the time being, we just asked the receptionist to dispose of the withdrawal form, and we changed our location.
After a wild adventure around the university, we ended up at this café called Aegi Cafe on campus, but it wasn’t open yet because it was too early. So, we just plopped down in the open space outside the shop.
As soon as we sat down, bam! Out of the blue, she’s bowing deeply.
“I want to sincerely apologize. Back in junior high, Mii really messed things up for Yuuta-sama.”
Hold up, how much does Mom know?
“Uh, I’m a bit lost here. What exactly are you apologizing for?”
“Mii dated Yuuta-sama while engaged in two-timing with someone else, which was inappropriate even for a junior high girl, and then broke up with you after causing some pain. Is that correct?”
“Yeah, I mean, it’s not something you just casually bring up, but yeah, that’s pretty much it.”
“…And all of that was just a grave mistake.”
Why does this mother know about Kurebayashi-san’s romantic affairs, including sexual ones?
If she actually consulted with her about that, it’s next-level shocking, like milk doing a double take.”
The mother’s totally waiting for a reaction, so I might as well play along. But if I jump on the bed for this conversation, it might seem like cheating, but I’ll probably get away with it now.
“What do you mean?”
“Did you know that Mii had a childhood friend who was a boy?”
“Well, yeah, of course. Wasn’t it Ando? She chose him, after all.”
“Yes… But did you also know that Mii had another childhood friend, a girl who was a year older than her?”
“Huh!?”
I didn’t expect new information about the incident from five years ago to come up now.
But… let’s see.
As I recall, in the Kurebayashi-san case,.
It was a situation where her childhood boyfriend wasn’t really paying much attention to her, so she kind of reluctantly accepted my confession, right?
Then that childhood boyfriend might be…
“And Ando, like that senior childhood friend?”
“Yeah, exactly. But that senior girl had her eyes set on someone else. She was in love with someone else.”
Ah, I see. It’s like a one-way triangle situation. So, maybe that’s why Kurebayashi-san ended up dating me sort of half-heartedly.
“I understand now. But why did Ando suddenly break up with Kurebayashi-san?”
“….I think Ando just wanted to get laid.”
“Right~”
“Ando, at that time, it seemed like it was a daily routine for him to do it twice a day. It’s terrifying, isn’t it, the sexual desire of middle school boys?”
“Well, it's true that Ando cannot be underestimated, but why does her mother know about her daughter's childhood friend's situation!?”
“Don’t underestimate the network of parents.”
I knew that I couldn’t underestimate them all.
I wonder why mothers all have funky personalities.

HAHAHAHA
MC you never ceases to make me laugh.
Yep, this mom is nuts, she just justified what cf did to her daughter to the cheated on MC. I bet she's trying to make up for her daughter for not doing what she should have done by trying to get her closer to MC, but nope, it's too late
Oh no, taking Ando's "terrifying sexual desires" and casually extrapolating them on all middle school boys, right in MC's face, who is a victim of the situation, was living prim and proper life and was also a middle schooler at the time... This does not sit well with me, does not sit well with me at all.
What's worse, not just MC, even author didn't seem to notice this happening, despite writing it himself.
My only cope is something was lost in translation.
Also I swear if she's going to try anf shift the aggro to Ando from her daughter, I'm going to flip some tables.
Thankfully this mom is normal for now
