Chapter 74 | The Chefs
I was supposed to have dinner with Rika and Dahlia…
But the meddlesome grandpa of the main family, Kaida Kogen, had the whole banquet hall reserved for us…!
Next time, I will complain to him via Ryuko-chan. That man listens best to his granddaughter’s criticisms.
“Sorry, you two…”
“Don’t worry about it.”
Rika and Dahlia were quite shocked, but since they were both good kids, they didn’t mind. I’m glad.
Saburo-san also asked, “Did I do something wrong?” Saburo-san was also looking at me with a straight face and tilting his head.
There was no point in getting angry.
At least, Jirota’s cooking was really good.
We couldn’t help but roll our eyes at the sumptuous Japanese dishes that were soon brought to us.
“Wow…”
“The tempura was so crispy…and the sashimi, what is this? A wedding?”
Dahlia and Rika were staring in amazement at the food in front of them.
The food was beyond the level of ryokan food and looked as if it could have been served at a national event.
“Wow! Oh, brother! It’s so tasty!”
Saburo and his wife were sitting a little ways away from us.
We decided to invite them to eat with us. You see, it’s a little lonely.
“Did you cook all by yourself, Jirota-san?”
I asked Jirota, aka Terminator Brother.
“Of course, I couldn’t have done it by myself. I’ve called in help.”
He looked at me, and a big guy was standing in front of him.
I could tell from the color of his hair that he was of Russian descent.
“He is Alwin Shiojiri-san. He is a friend of mine.”
“Oh, hi…”
All these names are strange…
He has a Japanese surname, even though he is Russian.
“He is a naturalized Russian.”
“Oh, I see.”
Shiojiri-san waved his hand at us.
Despite his tough appearance, he seems to be a nice guy.
Jirota-san had friends, too. Well, it was only natural.
Enjoy your meal.
“Ah, yes. Then…itadakimasu.
“Itadakimasu!”
