Chapter 64 | The Ocean
In late January, we came to Atami for a visit during our exam vacation. [TLN: Chapter 62 did say in February, now it says late January.]
After lunch, we decided to see the ocean before returning to our lodgings.
Niekawa drove us to the beach in Atami.
“The ocean!”
Rika, my girlfriend, raises her hands when she sees the scene in front of her.
It was a beautiful sunny day. The light reflecting off the surface of the sea illuminates Rika.
…Her hair used to be blonde when we met at Christmas.
But now it is getting darker and darker. It looks like pudding.
…But it seems to be shining in the light. It’s beautiful…
“Onii-chan, Onii-chan.”
Dahlia poked me on the side of my head.

The one smiling at me is my sister-in-law, Dahlia.
She’s my sister for several reasons.

“Rika-tan, Onii-chan says you’re the most beautiful girl in the world!”

“I’m a love cupid for you, Onii-chan.”
Dahlia smirks. I’m sure she’s having fun with this!
“Oh no! It’s freezing!”
Rika found herself alone at the edge of the waves.
He takes off his shoes, goes barefoot, and puts his feet in the water.
“Eh? What?”
Rika is excited, but we laugh at her.
We both head for Rika’s place.
“The ocean is nice after all!”
“Rika-tan, why do you like the ocean?”
“I moved to Nagano when I was in elementary school, remember?”
Rika used to be a city girl, but after her parents divorced, she stayed in Nagano until recently.
“I see because oceans were rare.”
“That’s what I meant! I love the sea. If it wasn’t winter, I would have gone swimming.”
It was sunny, but it was January.
If you go into the ocean, you will usually freeze to death.
“I wish I could go into the ocean with Rika.”
“Sure! Then let’s come back again with Shin-chan and Dahlia! In the summer!”
Rika’s smiling face was dazzling, and I thought…
“Yeah, it’s beautiful.”
I said it honestly
Rika rolled her eyes and blushed.
“W-What~…oh…suddenly…you said…beautiful…”
The embarrassed Rika was cute. But…I’m kind of embarrassed too. My face is so hot…I can’t look at it properly…
“What? You’re going to do it on the beach?
“”Do what?””
Oh, no! Oh, oh…that! There’s no way I can do that!
“Beach volleyball♡”
“”Oh…that one…””
Dahlia says to us with a smirk.
“Eh, what did you imagine, you two? Do you want to talk to your Dahlia Onee-san? You want to tell me?”
Damn, Dahlia! She’s a naughty girl!
She always teases Onii-chan!
“You know, we’ll do the show in a place where it’s less crowded. The level is too high for the first time outside, so Rika-tan can’t handle it. Right?”
“Fuyuu~…”
Rika almost collapsed on the spot.
