Chapter 60 | Lunch
My name is Shinji Ueda.
I was on vacation in Atami with my girlfriend Rika and my stepsister Dahlia during the exam vacation.
I was staying in the same room as Rika…
When I opened the door of the room with a bang, there was a silver-haired gal standing there.
She was Dahlia Ueda, my stepsister.
She was smiling at me.
“You’ve been so lively since the sun was high in the sky…”
“”We’re not!””
I thought they were doing that in the same room!
He seemed to think that we were doing that in the same room!
“That’s not true…!”
“That’s right, Shin-chan!”
“Yes, it’s not…!”
It’s true that I came here to move on to the next stage with Rika.
However, as expected, it’s too soon after just arriving…
“I know~ I’m just kidding.”
She was just teasing us.
Jeez.
“Well, let’s go have lunch.”
“That’s right.”
We had already made a reservation for lunch.
It’s a restaurant by the sea.
“It looks like it’s a bit far from the station.”
Rika operated her smartphone to check our location.
“Should I ask the hotel to call a cab for us?”
“No problem. I’ve asked my assistant to help me.”
With Dahlia, we headed for the hotel entrance.
“Welcome! This is Saburo taxi!”
“Saburo-san…”
Saburo Niekawa, an acquaintance of ours, was waiting for us at the entrance.
He was wearing a suit and a coat over it.
He was so muscular that his coat was shiny.
“Miss Dahlia has asked me to be her chauffeur!”
“Is that okay?”
“Of course! I mean, that’s what I was planning to do from the beginning! Let’s go, come in.”
The taxi had stopped in front of the hotel again.
At first, we tried to go around on our own, but…
“He said we didn’t have to worry about it, so we’d be grateful for the ride, right, Onii-chan?”
“Right, right. I’d do anything for Shinji-kun!”
Saburo-san replied with his usual quick, bright smile.
Even though it was a sudden request, he never looked displeased.
I’m sorry I’m always taking advantage of your favors, but…yeah. On the other hand, it’s not good to take favors lightly.
“Well, then, I’m counting on you.”
“My pleasure.”
“Aiya aiya! I’m in, I’m in!”
We got into the car driven by Saburo and headed down to the southeast from the hotel.
“Wow…! Look, Shin-chan! It’s the ocean!”
Rika, sitting next to me, is glued to the window, her eyes shining.
“Wow…the ocean in winter is so beautiful, isn’t it?”
“Yes!”
Reflecting the dry blue sky, the wide ocean goes on forever.
The sea is so beautiful that it reflects the light on the surface of the sea and sparkles.
But I think the most beautiful thing is Rika, whose eyes are shining looking at the sea.
“Hmm? What is it?”
“Hmm…I thought Rika was cute.”
“Nyah! Do… do… hi…”
“Hmm…”
Rika is embarrassed, she turns her head down and fiddles with her own hair.
“It’s getting a lot darker.”
Rika had dyed her hair blonde at first.
However, to take revenge on her classmates, Rika quit dyeing her hair.
She wanted to look back at them by becoming a beautiful, neat, black-haired girl.
“Is it weird? It looks a little pudding-like, and I don’t like it.”
From the top of her head, it darkens toward the tips.
It certainly looks like pudding from a distance.
“But it’s the most delicious-looking pudding in the world.”
“You mean you’re going to eat it?”
“Yes, it looks so good.”
“Ya~♡♡♡♡”
Hah…! I feel a gaze on me.
Dahlia, who was sitting in front of me, was smiling at me.
“”Ah, no…well…””
“Ah, I’m sorry, I interrupted you. Go on.”
“Please continue!”
I was being watched perfectly by both of them!
I’m so embarrassed…
“Well, you and Shinji-kun are getting along well as usual, aren’t you?”
Saburo-san asks while waiting at a traffic light.
“Hm? Hey, did you do it already?”
“…….”
Well, that’s…not…yet.
But it’s… ugh…
“Yes, yes, Saburo-san. The light’s changed.”
“Oh, yes, yes.”
Saburo’s fault created an awkward atmosphere in the car!
He’s a nice guy, but he’s so insensitive.
In the meantime, we arrived at the restaurant where we were going to have lunch.
“What are you going to do, Saburo?”
“I’ll kill some time, enjoy your lunch.”
I felt bad for Saburo. We are the only ones eating a delicious meal…
“Oh, seriously, don’t worry about it. I’ll go to that restaurant over there.”
There were several restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
“Yay, I’m lucky I can skip work and eat lunch at my own expense.”
With that, Saburo skipped away.
What a surprise…
“Then, let’s have lunch.”
