Character Introductions

Hajime Toumachi

The protagonist.

A second-year high school student, of average build and with black hair. He was living a dark and uneventful school life, devoid of friends or a girlfriend.

He fell in love at first sight with Ayano Kisaragi. During the second year's Golden Week, he bumped into her by chance and, excitedly, tried to strike up a conversation, only to be completely forgotten by her, leading to a painful rejection.

He has no hobbies or special skills but is good at studying.

He scored fifth place in the year-end exams.

Hajime has a lower aversion to studying compared to others, so he often escapes into it during breaks and holidays.

He is, of course, a member of the home-study club.

He also works part-time in a factory, which leaves him with plenty of spare time and a significant amount of savings.

During his middle school years, he got lost in the online world with a computer he received, and eventually ended up joining an anonymous bulletin board.

He is still an active member of that board, and of course, a premium member.

His parents and younger sister, who is in the second year of middle school, live abroad.

Renowned for her beauty, which is the best in her grade. She is Hajime's classmate.

However, she is uninterested and oblivious to romance.

Her primary focus is on her younger sister, Kanon Kisaragi, her best friend, Momo Hatsune, and cooking.

She is often late for school due to her lax attitude toward time.

Her hobby is cooking, which she often shares with her sister and Momo.

Her father is absent, and her mother works, so she is a member of the home-study club.

Though she had known Hajime since the first year, she only recently became aware of him.

Momo Hatsune

Notable for her height of 175 cm.

She has short black bob-cut hair.

Generally cheerful and approachable, with a friendly demeanor despite her height.

Her hobbies include various forms of creative activities. She spends almost all of her pocket money on them.

She particularly loves movies.

She is an ace in the basketball club, leveraging her height, and is more popular with girls than with boys.

Many boys who were interested in getting close to Ayano often approached Momo.

Due to this, she has no male friends. While she talks with them, she keeps her distance.

She is somewhat lonely and often visits her best friend Ayano's home.

She had known Hajime since the first year and kept an eye on him as a potentially suspicious person due to his odd behavior around Ayano.

Shiori Momiji

145 cm tall with a short black haircut and long bangs.

She exudes an aura that makes her hard to approach while constantly reading books.

Her hobby is reading. It's normal for her to read a book a day, and she generally knows where books are located in the library.

She mainly enjoys mystery genres.

She is active as a member of the student council library committee.

She wanted to become friends with Hajime, who values books more than anyone, and has struggled to do so.

She can handle work and administrative conversations (though clumsily), but when it comes to personal matters, she exhibits various odd behaviors towards Hajime.

Ichigo Yumesaki

Has long blonde hair.

Her appearance is a mix of a gal and a yankee (50% of each, by one account).

She is of similar height to Hajime but is feared in school due to her piercing gaze and intimidating presence.

Her hobby is music. She is so obsessed that she visits CD shops every day.

She often hangs out with her best friend, Rio Hiiragi.

When she heard she could be surrounded by music, she first encountered Hajime at a club.

Rio Hiiragi

Has light brown hair with soft, semi-long curls.

Despite being a high school student, she is skilled at makeup and, while not as popular as Ayano, is still popular among boys.

She is usually a kind gal but has a strong sadistic streak and looks for people who can be teased.

Her hobby is observing people, and she works part-time as a model.

This wide range of social connections includes many acquaintances both inside and outside school.

Her closest friend is Ichigo, with whom she is often seen.

Though she was in the same class as Hajime during the first year, she didn't recognize him back then. She still believes she met him for the first time when he sat next to Ichigo.

Kanon Kisaragi

Ayano's younger sister. She also has long black hair.

At five years old, she uses her older sister as a negative example but is surprisingly mature.

She likes shiny things and became attached to Hajime because of his rainbow-colored hair.

She shares his hobbies, including origami, crosswalks, and movies, and now eagerly approaches him whenever she sees his hair.
