Chapter 57: Fallen Angel
Translator: Soafp
“…Zzzz.”
Kanon-chan is napping.
“…”
“…”
The two are studying.
“(Can't concentrate)”
Is there anyone who wouldn't be nervous with two girls right in front of them?
No, there isn't (rhetorical question).
“Hmm…”
“Oh, you don't understand that part?”
“Yeah.”
“Well, that part is—”
Since Momo was struggling, I explain it to her.
My only strengths are my classroom attitude and academic ability.
Teaching others is difficult, but with the “preparation” from last night—
“…I-I get it now.”
“Glad to hear that.”
“Have you been tutoring before, Icchi?”
“You're over-praising me (embarrassed).”
“Um, Toumachi-kun. I need help with this part…”
“Let me see. This English sentence is—”
I address their questions and clear up their confusion.
It turns out that teaching others is beneficial for oneself too—at least that's what the books said.
“Ah, thank you. You're like a teacher, Toumachi-kun.”
“You're welcome (happy to death).”
Wow, this feels too good (pervert).
I never thought I'd be teaching someone—and they actually understand.
Both of them are probably quick learners, but especially Kisaragi-san absorbs information fast. Why is she barely passing with this ability?
“…Icchi! Teach me this too!”
“Y-yeah, sure.”
I go to her again.
Oh, past me, are you watching?
I'm glad I worked hard on studying (elevated to heaven).
“—Kanon will study too!”
“Eh?”
I look beside me and see a small Kanon-chan coming over.
When did she wake up…?
Also, it's a drawing notebook she's holding.
Let's not comment on that (adult response).
“…Ah, that was close.”
“… (Kisaragi-san is dozing off).”
“Are you two okay?”
“I get sleepy when studying…”
“…! I-I'm sorry.”
Just to say.
Kisaragi-san's sleeping face is amazing (elevated to heaven).
It's like a Greek sculpture.
Am I seeing an angel descended from heaven?
But then again, isn't that like falling from grace?
“Next, let's make a rocket!”
“Okay (enthusiastic).”
And so the desk is covered with projects (my creations)—but.
No one is studying now (finally).
“Let's take a break. You must be tired.”
“Okay!”
“Let's do that.”
—Now.
It's time to use my hobby (proud face).
What's essential for a break?
Yes, coffee.
The beans I saved for this day.
I'll unleash them now!
“How about some coffee for the break (who said that)?”
“Oh, I brought melon soda!”
“!!”
“!!”
At those words, the Kisaragi sisters' eyes widen and they become fixated.
On the 1.5L of green liquid.
“Ehehe, you both love this so much, right?”
…I also love melon soda! (switching sides).
The melon soda in plastic cups (disposable).
And chocolate, biscuits.
Popcorn (my favorite).
I wanted to capture this scene in a photo… but it wasn't possible. Kanon-chan devoured everything (naturally).
[―― “Icchi eats things other than curry”――]
[―― “How rude, Momo”――]
[―― “My staple food is naan”――]
[―― “What about curry?”――]
[―― “““कूशी [TL: It is meant happiness] (possessed)””――]
After such chit-chat, we returned to studying.
Teaching, teaching, teaching.
It feels like quite a bit of time has passed.
Looking at the clock—five hours have gone by since 11 o'clock.
Evening is approaching.
“…Zzz… (Momo is fast asleep)”
“…(Kisaragi-san is also fast asleep)”
“Next, teach me about the space shuttle!!”
“Okay (enthusiastic).”
“Hmm♪”
“!? My knees are ticklish… well, it's fine.”
As a result.
The two in front of me are sound asleep.
Kanon-chan, who started sitting on my lap, is the only one I'm still teaching origami.
We're not studying at all! (Second time today).
I'm reviewing English vocabulary while folding. It's good for the brain to fold origami. Kanon-chan is something else…
“…Yawn…”
“Ah!”
And then Kanon-chan also falls asleep.
I managed to catch her before she banged her head on the desk.
…Everyone else is asleep except me.
Everyone seems pretty tired.
I'm still awake from the tension (introvert).
“Well then…”
For now, I need to put Kanon-chan to bed.
I gently lift her small body and roll her onto the futon—
“…Zzzz… Hmm!”
“Eh?”
As if to hold me back.
Her tiny hand had grabbed mine.
“…♪”
“…This is bad…”
Children's hands are truly warm.
And their sleeping faces are incredibly soothing to the parasympathetic nervous system.
She's like a “fallen angel.”
I can't resist.
I'm being drawn into that white world.
“…”
The approaching bed.
Even if my mind understands, my body is honest.
Oh no.
The sleepiness that had been lurking somewhere…
Is now—

Do they all have narcolepsy?
Thank you.
[―― “““कूशी [TL: Ethiopia?] (possessed)””――]
I think here author was trying to say 'खूशी' which means Happiness
Here 'क' is used which is pronounced as 'ka' and 'ख' which should have been used is pronounced as 'kha' which obviously have similar pronounciation
