Chapter 62: A Night Game with No Rules

The barrage of questions continued relentlessly.
Even as Ranko’s hand lingered on my lower half, her fingers playing deftly, she kept hurling questions at me with an innocent face.
On the other side of the screen, the viewers' comments flooded in like a storm, with remarks like, ‘What's up with the teacher?' and ‘Is he even alive? Is he breathing?'
“And… that’s a wrap~!”
With a satisfied grin, Ranko waved at the camera, signaling the end of the stream.
“Phew, good job, Sensei!”
Ranko cheerfully announced, her face looking refreshingly carefree, while I collapsed forward, feeling utterly drained of life.
“Oh no, did I go too far? Sensei, are you still alive?”
Ranko hurriedly pulled her hand out of my pants, a slight smirk forming as she examined her fingers.
“Hmm~”
Before I could process the meaning behind her mischievous smile, she slowly licked her fingertip.
“Hey! What are you doing!?”
I spRankog to my feet in panic.
“Eh? Just… tasting?”
Ranko grinned at me.
My face flushed a deep red, and all I could do was stammer out nonsensical protests.
“Well, it’s the first time I've done it without gloves, so I was curious.”
Ranko scratched her head playfully, clearly enjoying the situation.
“That's not the problem!!”
I was at a loss for words, and all I could do was back away. But Ranko, unfazed, leaned in closer, her smile turning more predatory.
“Come on, Sensei~ It felt good, didn't it? Plus, you know, you’re the first one I've gone this far with~”
She trailed a finger along my jawline, slowly gliding it down my cheek, making my entire body stiffen with each movement.
Just as I gathered enough strength to bat her hand away and shout, “Enough already—!”
“Alright, alright, good work, both of you.”
The front door opened, and Hizaki-san entered the room.
I jumped in surprise.
As soon as Hizaki-san stepped into the living room, she sniffed the air.
“…Huh? Does this room smell weird to anyone else?”
Her eyes narrowed as she slowly scanned the area.
I felt my heart freeze.
Ranko, showing no signs of guilt, nonchalantly wiped her fingers with her sleeve while feigning ignoRankoce.
“Hmm? I don’t think so?”
“Did you burn some weird incense in here?”
Hizaki's suspicious gaze sharpened.
“Uh, w-well yeah! I just thought I'd relax a little! Haha!”
My voice was clearly high-pitched and shaky.
Ranko was stifling her laughter as she watched me scramble to cover up.
“Uh-huh…”
Hizaki wasn't quite convinced but didn't push it further. She glanced around the room one more time before I suddenly leapt to my feet.
“L-let's go, Hizaki-san! Right now! Immediately!”
I was breathing heavily, sweat beading on my forehead, as my heart pounded in my chest.
Hizaki-san blinked in surprise at my urgency but then nodded hesitantly after a moment of watching me intently.
“Uh, okay… Oh, by the way, I was holding onto your phone earlier. You had a ton of notifications and missed calls.”
“Huh?”
A sinking feeling hit me as I took the phone from her and glanced at the screen.
The names of Miyabi, Aoi, Marin, and Kagura flashed repeatedly, their calls and messages stacked one after the other.
Reluctantly, I opened Kagura's message, only to be greeted by an onslaught of angry cat stickers and an irritated message: “You better be free for me tomorrow, no excuses!”
I heaved a deep sigh, my shoulders slumping.
“Ara, looks like you really are exhausted. Make sure you rest up on tomorrow's holiday.”
Hizaki-san said, offering me a sympathetic smile.
Suddenly, my mother's name appeared on the screen, interrupting the moment.
“Mom?”
I answered the call, frowning as I did so.
“Hey, Hajime. I figured you'd be done by now, so I thought I'd give you a call.”
Her usual calm voice came through, but her next words gripped my heart tightly.
“Your sister came back home suddenly. She's been in quite a mood and said she's waiting for you. Did you do something to Kyoko?”
I swallowed hard.
I hadn't done anything… at least, not directly.
Slowly, I raised my head.
Ranko was sitting on the couch, flashing me a wicked grin while waving slowly.
A chill Ranko down my spine.
Sweat dampened my hand as I gripped the phone tighter.
“…Tell her to go easy on me, okay?”
I knew full well that once I returned home, there would be hell to pay.
But I couldn't run away from it either.
A long, long night awaited me.
