Chapter 5: Netorare Sensor is amazing
Translator: Soafp
“What the hell are you?”
“What’s with that stupid fox mask?”
I stepped boldly into the room.
A woman in a suit was being pinned down by a man, and around them were three burly men who looked like stereotypical gangsters.
No, maybe I shouldn't assume they're gangsters… but with those tattoos and scars on their faces, anyone would think that.
“…This is like a typical doujin plot.”
I muttered that without thinking—it was way too much of a cliché.
“W-Who the hell are you!?”
The man in the suit yelled while holding the woman down.
“Hah, I don't bother giving my name to scum like you. Besides, introducing yourself to people who clearly look dangerous is something only an idiot would do, don't you think?”
Something felt strange… my confidence was unnaturally high.
Still, this situation was obviously dangerous. Under normal circumstances, going head-to-head with these guys would end badly.
Even though my city's fairly big, I didn't know people like this were around. Just realizing this sort of thing could happen was shocking enough.
“You've got a pretty big mouth for a brat.”
“Better than that disgusting belly of yours, old man.”
The thug's forehead vein twitched.
“When you get older, you really gotta watch your weight. I'll make sure not to end up like you.”
“You little…!”
The man's movements were sharp—he must've practiced martial arts or something before. I couldn't tell exactly what kind, though.
“Die, you little punk!”
Kind of ironic that he's saying “die” but not even using a weapon. Maybe that's his version of mercy? …Nah, probably not.
Still, everything suddenly slowed down. I swept my leg, tripping him easily.
(…That was way too easy.)
The man looked shocked, his eyes wide.
Normally, when people sense danger, they tense up to resist—but maybe because of this slow-motion effect, I can act before they even react?
Thinking that way makes what happened with Aizawa earlier make even more sense.
“Saikyo-san got taken down that easily…?”
“That Saikyo-san…?”
“Saikyo, me, taken down…?”
No, you're not supposed to say that about yourself, old man.
While I was thinking that, the other two big guys lunged toward me.
(It's fine… I'm not scared at all.)
Without this app, I'd just be some weak nobody—but that's exactly why I have to stay focused until the woman's safe.
“You guys… what the hell is he!?”
As they shouted in confusion, I slipped past them and faced the man pinning the woman down.
“NTR must be eradicated. No mercy for scum.”
“W-What the hell are you!?”
I chuckled. It wasn't meant to mock him, but he took it that way.
The man in front of me stood up, and the three behind me charged again—but with another sweep, I sent all four of them crashing to the ground.
“My leg sweeps are too strong…”
I wondered how my movements looked to them from their perspective.
Before I could think about it further, the sound of police sirens echoed from outside.
“The police!?”
“No way!?”
Yeah, I'm the one who called them… but before I could say that, I lifted the stunned woman into my arms and ran out of the room.
“Sorry—this is my first time saving someone like that, and my first time running while carrying a girl princess-style too.”
“Y-Yes…!”
“Keep your mouth closed so you don't bite your tongue before we get downstairs.”
“O-Okay!”
Thank God she was quick to understand.
Even while holding her, I couldn't help but notice her beauty and perfect figure.
(…Her voice and face… I swear I've seen her somewhere before.)
Well, not like I know any idols, so it must be my imagination.
“…Ah, you're Tojo Rira.”
Suddenly, I remembered who she was.
Seventeen-year-old up-and-coming idol, often modeling in magazines. I'd heard about her from my idol-otaku friend. Pretty sure she's from this city too.
“You just realized that now…?”
“Sorry, sorry. But I gotta say, being an idol sounds rough.”
“That man… I still can't believe what he did.”
“Can't blame you. You've got a boyfriend, right? Let him comfort you properly.”
“…!”
Her face turned bright red. She looked adorable—and yeah, I'll admit, I felt jealous of her boyfriend for having such a beautiful girl.
“NTR is garbage. But at least I managed to save you this time.”
“NTR… you mean netorare?”
“Oh? You know about that, miss idol?”
“My favorite artist draws that kind of stuff often…”
Apparently idols these days know about NTR too.
I set her down and looked at my phone. The battery had dropped quite a bit—and the moment I saw that, a strange dread washed over me.
(What… is this fear? It's like… my very existence is fading away…)
That must be what it feels like—the fear of disappearing.
“Well then, miss idol, I'll take my leave here. The police will handle the rest!”
“W-Wait, please!”
But without stopping, I quickly ran off.
After that, the incident became big news.
The story of Tojo Rira, the rising idol who was nearly assaulted, spread like wildfire. Fans were shocked, antis were loud, and social media went crazy.
Even though I left the scene immediately, the men were all caught. Rira's testimony, along with security footage, sealed the deal.
“But… apparently, I didn't show up on the cameras.”
I saw her interview later—turns out, I wasn't visible at all on the security footage.
Honestly, those guys were idiots for doing that in a building with cameras, but the manager must've been so blinded by rage that he forgot.
“This NetoraSensor really is the real deal… being able to beat those guys and not show up on camera—that has to be part of its power, right? That's insane.”
Yeah… insane really is the only word for it.
“But it feels good, you know? Helping someone like that—it's incredibly satisfying… I'm definitely doing this again!”
Still, every time I saw Tojo Rira on TV, I couldn't help but think…
Her eye color and hair shade looked just like Nakazato's.
And now, whenever I see Nakazato at school… I can't help but notice her.

I wish the stakes were a bit high for. Yeah it says he cannot find pure live, but if the MC has brains and is as he is described he will not be bothered as he would have never planed to have love.
