Chapter 15: It was scary
Translator: Soafp
There are countless cases of NTR in this world.
Though the forms may vary, the sadness, anger, and hatred that arise from it swirl through every corner of this world, clinging to it like a curse.
[Why… how could this happen!?]
[I trusted you… I believed in you!!]
[Don't screw with me… you're the one who took her away from me!]
[Don't mess around! You stole him from me!!]
The despair of having someone precious taken away searches for a place to go.
And so, all the sorrow and hatred that exist in this world attract each other, intertwine, and merge into a single existence.
“To be taken away is something that must never happen… such acts can never be forgiven. Those who defile pure love shall be bathed in blood, those who try to steal away what is precious must be punished—if there are feelings that have lost their way, I shall connect them to one most compatible with them. Even if that brings forth the darkest of emotions.”
What does this mean?
No one yet knows.
“Is it around here?”
“That's what Mom said, yeah.”
The Netora-sensor went off, and Dad and I left the house together.
After parking the car, we walked through the downtown area, and the sensor continued to react in the same direction Dad was heading.
(I'm still not sure… but this bad feeling keeps getting stronger.)
Could my mother really be caught up in something like that?
I want to believe there's no way something so disgusting could be happening—but still, here we are, walking around trying to find her.
“…?”
I thought I felt someone's gaze on me for a moment, but I kept walking.
The place we arrived at was supposed to be the restaurant where the reunion was held… but Mom wasn't there. The sensor reacted even farther ahead.
As we went deeper inside, we found two men and three women—one of them was Mom.
“Mom!”
“Huh?”
“What?”
At a glance, both the men and the women looked shallow and sleazy.
They stared at us with wide eyes, but I immediately rushed over to Mom, who was being supported by one of the men, and yanked her away by force.
“H-Hey, what the hell are you doing!?”
“That voice… are you the guy from the phone earlier—”
Looks like that woman was the one who mentioned a second party before.
“Nachi!”
“Huh…? Papa?”
“Yeah, it's me. I came to get you.”
“…Mm… let's go home.”
The moment I handed her over to Dad, Mom opened her eyes slightly and smiled.
Everything happened so quickly that her classmates—or whoever they were—just stood there, stunned.
Dad took Mom away from the scene first.
(What is this… why am I so pissed off?)
I told Dad I'd be right back, but I couldn't calm down like this.
This burning anger I didn't feel when it was Aizawa or when it was Tojo Rira—this time, it's probably because my own mother was targeted.
Boiling with rage, I glared at them.
“You said you were having a second party, didn't you?”
“I did! What's your problem?”
“Man, I was just about to get a taste, too.”
“Yeah, I've liked her since we were students. What a damn shame.”
I know perfectly well what they mean.
And I can't understand—how can they still grin like that? What's so funny about all this filth?
“You guys… you were going to lay hands on my mother?”
“She's drunk anyway, she won't remember a thing.”
“Well, taking some pictures or videos might've been fun though.”
Their faces, so unaware of the gravity of what they almost did, made me sick to my stomach.
“So just because she's your classmate, I can't trust that she's safe… guess there really are scumbags like you out there.”
“…Huh?”
“You say something, brat?”
I could've just walked away.
I could've let it go.
But I couldn't. I couldn't suppress the heat rising inside me anymore.
“Hey, don't take it out on a kid.”
“Yeah, seriously!”
“Hey, he's the one who called us scum first, remember?”
“We're just trying to teach him a little manners, as adults.”
The street was dark, but the lights from the buildings made it lively.
Maybe late-night chaos like this isn't unusual around here, because no one really paid attention to us.
Still, that lack of concern was strange—maybe it was thanks to the NTR-sensor.
“Sorry, but I'm not gonna regret calling scum what it is. And I don't need you teaching me manners. Maybe I should be the one teaching you—that even a kid knows it's wrong to steal someone precious.”
[Nakozato PoV]
“……………”
“…Amazing.”
“Is that… Kamiki?”
I—we—could only watch.
We saw Kamiki walking with a grim look on his face and couldn't help but follow him.
We didn't know all the details, but apparently, Kamiki's mother had been about to be assaulted, and Kamiki and his father arrived just in time to stop it.
But what held our gaze came after that.
“Damn it…”
“Stop… please, stop…”
The two men cracked their knuckles as they approached—but Kamiki defeated them easily.
Even though they were grown men, they didn't stand a chance.
They tried to hit him, but Kamiki dodged every blow with fluid movements and swept their legs out from under them.
“Just like that time…”
Runa muttered beside me, and I remembered.
The time my old manager pinned me down, and I thought it was all over—he saved me.
He was wearing a fox mask back then, but now I was sure… that was Kamiki.
“Ah…♪”
I knew it.
I knew it all along.
Even if he seemed completely different that time—facing that huge man without fear—I still knew it was him.
Now I was absolutely certain.
“Don't you ever touch my mom again.”
“Hii!? O-Okay!”
“We get it, just please forgive us!!”
The two men and the women behind them were trembling in sheer terror.
It was like they weren't even seeing Kamiki anymore—but something else. Like they were staring at a demon or ghost.
“…No, I can't forgive you. Because she's my mom. You bastards tried to…!”
Ah…!?
I felt fear. I squeezed Runa's hand—and she squeezed mine back. She must've felt it too.
“Ah…”
“Ugh…”
Thud, thud—the two men collapsed, foaming at the mouth.
Their faces were frozen in fear, and the women dragged them away in a panic, their legs shaking, wetting themselves as they fled.
“Runa! Rira!”
“!?!”
“…Mom?”
Reina's voice snapped us out of it.
Even though strangely few people were paying attention, those who saw were as stunned as we were.
“I should make it so they'll never stand up again… and for the women… hmm?”
At that moment, Kamiki looked our way—and the air changed.
When our eyes met, the fear vanished. He looked like the same Kamiki we always saw at school.
“Aizawa, Nakazato… and Reina-san?”
He blinked as he walked toward us—but something felt off.
Hearing him say Reina's name stirred something inside me.
“Did you… see all that?”
“…Yeah.”
“…We did.”
Runa and I nodded honestly.
Kamiki scratched the back of his head with an awkward laugh—but tears were streaming down his cheeks.
“Huh…?”
He seemed confused himself, wiping the tears from his face.
“Oh, I see… I was just scared… What if something happened to Mom? What if I hadn't made it in time?”
He stared at his hands, whispering that he was just glad his mother was safe.
Relieved, but still trembling from the fear of what could've been.
“…Sorry! I'd love to talk more, but Dad's waiting. See you Monday at school!”
He turned and ran off.
As I watched his back, I thought—Kamiki is strong and kind, but he still gets scared. He still cries like that.
“…We can't just leave him be.”
“…No, we can't.”
I didn't hear Runa's voice overlapping mine.
But it didn't matter—because all I could think about was Kamiki.
“…Heh♪”
I've found him… no, I'd already found him.
My prince.
As a side note—those men later became unable to even talk to women without being overwhelmed by terror, and their manhood completely ceased to function.
