Chapter 31 | Skipping School to Go on a Date
We left the classroom and headed for the rooftop.
Our school is a five-story building.
From the rooftop, we could see the city of Tokyo.
The Tokyo Tower can be seen nearby.
“Phew…it’s nice outside, isn’t it?”
“…………”
Rika looked unhappy.
Rika was trembling, and I could feel her trembling through my hand.
“I’m sorry, Rika.”
“Why are you apologizing, Shin-chan?”
“No, because… it was my fault that I caused unnecessary confusion, and that’s why this happened.”
When my classmates discovered I was rich, they turned their backs on me.
Rika defended me, but on the contrary, they turned their ill will on her.
“It’s not Shin-chan’s fault. Those jerks are the only ones to blame. …If anything, thank you.”
Rika smiled.
“Shin-chan, you were very cool.”
Rika’s praise made my body feel even hotter than usual.
I was so nervous that I couldn’t look her in the eye…
This is… after all…
“What do we do now?”
Rika says, leaning against the rooftop fence.
The wind is blowing, ruffling her dyed blonde hair and mini-skirt.
“We can’t go back to the classroom now. We left early.”
“Then…hey, Shin-chan. Why don’t we go somewhere and have some fun?”
“Having fun…you mean skipping school?”
“Yes. We’ll skip school and go out on a date. See, isn’t that like being in love?”
Rika laughed mischievously.
It is true. It looks like an anime about youth.
“A date in uniform, just the two of us, huh…”
I’m really longing for that!
“Don’t get me wrong! This is a fake lover’s… practice!”
“Oh…I see…”
I almost forgot we are not really in love.
Instead, it is a relationship based on revenge, and we are accomplices in it.
“…I’m stupid. It’s no good, I’m useless.”
Rika suddenly crouches down, holding her head.
“Eh, what did you say?”
“It’s nothing! Let’s go. We’ll sneak away, Shin-chan♡.”
We left the rooftop without being seen by the teacher.
It was a very exciting mission for the two of us to cooperate with each other.
Soon after, we changed our shoes in the shoe box and went outside.
“Where are we going?”
When I asked Rika, she was a little worried.
“How about Destiny?”
“Destinyland? The one in Chiba?”
It’s easy to get confused, but it’s not Disneyland. It’s Destiny.
“That’s right. It is very crowded on holidays, but I thought it would be empty on weekdays. But it’s still crowded with tourists.”
Rika knows so much about this place.
She must be a fan.
“But it’s easier to get in line than usual…yes. Yeah, let’s do that.
I will call someone.
“Shin-chan, what are you doing?”
“Well, this is…”
I was just leaving the school gate when…
“Hey, you two! Otsu!”
“Hey, Saburo… san?”
Rika rolls her eyes.
A muscular macho man in a suit. He is a complete terminator in appearance, and he is Saburo-san, a friend of mine.
“Why is he here?”
“I called him on the rooftop just now. I told him I didn’t want lunch today. He said he would pick me up.”
Saburo smiled at me.
“I heard you’re going on a date! I’ll walk you home, you two!”
“Wait! Why did you say that?”
Rika’s face turned red and she shouted.
“I thought it would save us some money on train fare.
It’s a long way to Destiny, which is in Chiba.
“But…are you sure?”
“Of course! Because it’s for Shinji’s sake that I skip work! It is our mission as members of the Kaida Group to be the love cupid for the next generation!”
This guy said he skipped work.
Maybe he thinks he’s lucky to skip work. That’s what he thinks.
“Well, come in, come in! Saburo Taxi will take you both to Destiny!”
He opens the door of the limousine and invites us inside.
“Let’s go.”
“…I see. After all, you’ve come all this way.”
We got in the limousine and headed for Destiny.
“Yes. Yes. Shinji-kun…yes. I’m not skipping work. I’m telling the truth. I’m just going to drive him to Destiny…eh? Ah, yes, yes. Ah, yes. Okay, bye.”
With a snap, Saburo-san hangs up the phone.
“Who were you talking to?”
“I was reporting to my superiors. I’m not skipping work anymore!”
No, you were ready to skip work…
“Let’s go to Destiny!”
In less than an hour, we arrived at [Chiba Destinyland] in Chiba.
“It didn’t take long.”
“Saburo-san is a good driver.”
“Oh, not really.”
Saburo-san opened the door for us and we headed for the gate.
“Hey, Shin-chan? Why is there no one at the gate?
“No one, not even tourists.”
On weekends and holidays, it is so crowded that there is a line to the nearby train station.
On weekdays, there are fewer people, but it’s impossible for there to be zero.
Because some people have today off, and there must be tourists.
“Shin-chan! I bought a one-day pass! Here you go!”
Saburo-san comes in with three tickets.
“Are you sure?”
“Of course! Don’t worry about the money! I will get reimbursed for my expenses!
I take two tickets.
“Why three?”
“I won’t bother you, but you’ll need a bodyguard! I won’t bother you! I swear to God! I’ll wait for you near the gate!”
He’s probably trying to skip work under the guise of being a bodyguard.
Jeez…
“Now, now, you two youngsters, go and enjoy your Destiny uniform date! I’ll be waiting for you two to return!”
We decided to use our tickets thankfully, but…
“”There’s no one here…?””
We passed through the gate and walked inside for a few minutes.
Not a single person passed us.
Although Destiny’s mascot characters were there, there were no customers in sight.
“Hey, Shin-chan…what’s going on here?”
“Well, well…? What’s going on in the rest of the park?”
I call Saburo-san, who is supposed to be in the park.
I wonder what is going on in the other places.
[What’s wrong, Shinji?]
“There’s no one here somehow… is it the same there?”
Then Saburo-san said very naturally.
[Yeah, we’re renting this place out today, right?]
“Wa…?”
What was that?
[I reported it to Kogen-sama, and he said he’s going to rent out Destiny for Shinji-kun.]
“Wait! You’re kidding, right?”
“Seriously. Oh, sorry, it’s almost my turn, so I have to go! Adieu!”
Saburo-san’s call is cut off.
Seriously…
“How was it, Shin-chan?”
Rika, who had no idea about the conversation between me and Saburo, tilted her head.
“Um… well, it’s kind of like… a reserved place.”
“Huh? What? What, what are you talking about?”
Rika was so shocked that she shouted out loud.
I know, right?
“Renting out Chiba Destinyland! How much money do you really have!”
“Well…”
Grandpa, the head of the family, is always indulgent to his family, basically.
The one he dotes on the most is his direct descendant and granddaughter, Ryuko.
But Grandpa Kogen has several grandchildren, all of whom are his dearest.
“Grandpa, sometimes you go overboard with this kind of meddling.”
“It’s too much! Renting out Destiny! It’s too much!”
“I think so too…”
I just wanted Saburo to give me a ride here, and that’s all I wanted to do.
I had no idea that my grandfather would go out of control and rent out Destiny.
I never thought that my grandpa would go out of his way to rent out Destiny.
“Well, well…but I’m kind of sorry. It’s probably opened as usual this morning.”
The customers must have been in a good inconvenience.
“Shall I apologize now and ask them to cancel the rental?”
“Ah…”
Rika looked a little disappointed.
She was trying to enjoy the situation, despite her surprise…
I know, you can’t usually have a date in a rented place…
Yeah, sorry, strangers.
“Well, let’s have some fun. It’s a good opportunity for us.”
Rika’s face turned radiant and she nodded her head.
Thus, we had a date at a reserved amusement park, just the two of us.
