Chapter 12 | Ex-girlfriend Regrets, Part 2

Shinji Ueda is having a happy time, while.

On the night of December 31st.

Ueda’s ex-girlfriend…Nakatsugawa Imoko

“What are you doing, Kasuji-kun…”

The time was 23:30.

Imoko was going on a date with her boyfriend, Kasuji Kisogawa.

Since today was the end of the year, they were going to have a hatsumode date.

They were supposed to meet at 23:00, but…

“I couldn’t believe I had to wait another half an hour! What were you thinking? I can’t believe it!”

Kisogawa was not very enthusiastic about the date itself.

But now that they had become lovers, they wanted to spend a special time together at the end of the year.

Imoko was eager to go along, and Kisogawa reluctantly agreed.

Why doesn’t he sound apologetic when he is running late?

What is that attitude of disrespecting women?

She tries to contact Kisogawa.

You people…! Imoko grits her teeth inwardly, thinking they were making fun of her.

She mocks the rest of the general populace.

Because she was born into a wealthy family, she thinks she is a superior being.

She looks down on others.

…That’s why I can’t stand being ridiculed by those around me and being ignored by my boyfriend.

“I’ll wait for him. I can’t go home… looking like this…!”

She told her brother and father that she was going on an end-of-year date with her boyfriend today.

Her classmates also asked what her plans were for the end of the year, and she told them she was going to spend it with her boyfriend.

Her classmates were planning to get together and have a party at the end of the year, and she was invited, but she refused.

“You are the worst human being ever…!”

Huffing, Kisogawa snickers and says

“That… you did all that for yourself, didn’t you?”

It was as if she had been hit on the head with a sledgehammer.

“Didn’t I just return what you did last week to that infamous otaku-kun~?”

“Ah… no… no…”

“On Christmas Eve, which of you was cheating on your date?”

Kisogawa was right.

He said triumphantly, despite Imoko’s upset.

“You called me a scumbag, but you’re just as much of a scumbag as I am. You’re the worst kind of a scumbag, you know that?”

“Oh… I am… different! I’m not…!”

“You’re not different, you idiot!”

The woman next to Kisogawa giggles.

“What is this girl doing, putting herself on the shelf and accusing Kasu-kun of something? Wow, she’s an idiot. You’re the one who said it~!”

“Hey, stupid girl~”

They both giggled and made fun of her.

It was embarrassing.

To be made fun of by such a low-level scum of a man and such a stupid-looking woman…

I felt like my honor as the daughter of the president of a large corporation had been violently trampled on.

“You’re disgusting! I don’t care about you anymore! I’m breaking up with you…!”

Kisogawa, however, smiles.

“I’ll let you do that. You’re a money maker.”

“Do you want money?”

“Oh yeah”

Kisogawa smiles wickedly.

“You’re an ultra annoying b***h, but you’ve got money, so I’ll keep you.”

“What… that’s not nice! Don’t you dare treat me like an idiot!”

Kisogawa makes fun of her as a woman.

“Don’t get so worked up. So, what was it? Break up? Well, okay, do whatever you want.”

Kisogawa readily agreed to break up.

However, Imoko has no intention of going out with him again, so she decides to break up with him.

“But, hey, just give me the money, okay?”

“What? Money?”

“That’s right. I’m not in need of a woman. If you want to break up with me, you can do whatever you want. However…”

Kisogawa takes out his phone.

On the screen is a picture of the two of them kissing.

“If you don’t want this picture and the scandal to be spread all over the Internet, you’re my wallet for a while.”

“What?”

Kisogawa laughs wickedly at Imoko’s astonishment.

“The daughter of the president of TAKANAWA? She was cheating on him with impunity! I wonder what would happen if people found out about it on the Internet?”

It would definitely be a scandal.

Worst of all, it will damage the reputation of her parents’ company…

“The company might go out of business because of you, huh?”

“No, no, no…! Please don’t do that!”

Kisogawa smiles triumphantly as he puts away his phone.

“Then you’ll be my servant for a while.”

“N, no way.”

Imoko kneels down.

Kisogawa smiles condescendingly.

“You can tell your classmates you broke up with me. But don’t forget that you yourself dumped Otaku-kun. They’re going to laugh at you if you break up with me after that!”

“You know, at this point, it’s pretty ridiculous, don’t you think?”

“Indeed! I’m sure you’ll be laughed at when I break up with you.”

The verbal abuse was one-sided, and Imoko’s self-esteem was already damaged to the point of being overwhelmed.

When she realized that Kisogawa was gone… Alone in the cold, she regretted her actions.

“Why…why…did I fall for…this…lousy man…?”

Tears began to fall.

“Shinji-kun… he won’t do such a terrible thing… Shinji-kun was… kind… but…”

She had cheated on her new boyfriend by dumping him and unilaterally breaking up with him…it’s a lousy feeling.

She wondered if Ueda felt this way too…

Kisogawa’s shitty move was so severely f****d up.

It highlights the fact that Ueda was a better, or rather, pretty good boyfriend.

He never said or did anything to make fun of a woman, and he always respected her for being a girlfriend.

It is true that there were parts of him that were unreliable…but he was kind.

And yet, she evaluated Kisogawa only on the basis of his appearance and rejected Ueda…

Oh, how foolish she was…
