Chapter 29 | Symptoms of Female Distrust Appear Unconsciously
Yuuji and the Student Council President.
Their conversation seemed to be going downhill, so Kinjo Karen, who had been quietly watching the situation, interrupted the conversation out of concern.
“… Student Council President, if that’s the case, there’s nothing we can do. We can’t force Yuuji-sama who doesn’t want to do it.”
Kinjo Karen, who had been silent since the start of the discussion, opened her mouth at this point.
She was just a quiet woman who was fascinated by Yuuji’s profile.
She was just enjoying the pleasure of being able to view the man she loves up close. It’s rather perverted.
“I was happy when I heard that the Student Council President was going to invite Yuuji-sama, but the most important thing is his feelings. And even though I told him I wouldn’t force him to do anything, that’s not very nice.”
“Ummm…you’re absolutely right.”
It seems that she and Yuuji were planning to hold an event together to deepen their friendship with each other.
“I know it’s a little late for this, but are you volunteering too, Kinjo-san?”
“Ah, yes! I was hoping to do something to help the children in the community…!”
“I see. You are very kind, aren’t you?”
I don’t know if this is the place that can accept me.
“…hah…thanks a lot…hehe…”
“Ahh, yes.”
The way she laughed was a little creepy, though.
I was pulling away, and the Student Council President said a few words of apology. It seems that she was apologizing for her persistent solicitation earlier.
“I’m sorry, Kouhai-kun.”
I don’t really mind…?
But, it’s a good opportunity to tease her a little bit.
“No, sorry won’t cut it. I will hate you for the rest of my life.”
“…I-I’m sorry…!”
Oh, It’s working!
“Also, I was joking when I said that I wanted to come, but I also resent the fact that you said, “You might scare the kids.’‘ No, that’s quite serious.”
“Eh… isn’t that a little harsh?”
“I’ll never forget what I just said about you being a little bit…”
“I understand now! What’s the matter with you? Mouu!”
“I’m just kidding. Besides Kinjo-san, is there anyone else who would like to help us?”
Yashiro answered this question.
Yuuji unconsciously stiffened his body.
”For now, it’s just Kinjo-san, isn’t it?”
“Is that so…?”
“Yes…?”
Yashiro noticed the change in his attitude…but he did not say anything because he would break the conversation.
Besides such a younger student member, Yuuji puts his hand on his chin and starts to think a little.
(I’m sorry if I decline and that’s the end of it, even though she invited me to join her. I’ll give her some advice.)
“There’s a guy named Ishida in the second year, how about him? I don’t think he has any personality problems…?”
“I asked Ishida-san to join us. But he said, “If Yuuji Sakamoto participates, I’ll participate, too.”“
“Why?”
What is he doing? What’s in it for me to go?
If I refuse this offer, my strength will be drastically reduced… what should I do?
“Did Yashiro-san ask him to go instead of the Student Council President?”
“Actually, I heard that the Student Council President is afraid to talk to men other than Sakamoto-senpai.”
“Hey, you don’t have to say anything else!”
Is she distrustful of men?
But I’m the only one she’s okay with it, or maybe she’s just taking advantage of me? I’ve been called out before, but it’s not like there was any plan, was I just being played for a fool?
Don’t make fun of me just because I’m your friend’s little brother.
Oh, and on the topic of my sister, I just remembered…
“How about my sis? She might show a blank expression and look like she might be violent toward children, but she’s very good at taking care of little kids.”
“Yeah. That's right!”
The Student Council President nodded his head in delight, seemingly understanding what I was saying without having to ask me.
I thought she wasn’t a good Onee-chan, but for her to notice Nee-chan’s hidden goodness… unexpectedly, she is doing good.
By the way, can I take it that you agree with me that you know that she looks like she could be violent to a child while maintaining an expressionless face? I’m easygoing, so I’m going to say it.
“I invited her first, but she insisted that she would only join if her brother would join.”
“Nee-chan said that?”
“Yes! She loves you!
“No, ummm…”
What is it with her?
I don’t what to say myself, but I’ve been sick lately, and I don’t think it’s that interesting for me to be there…?
No, but my heart is on the verge of tipping over, even though I had absolutely no intention of going. If I refuse to go, the number of absences will increase and it will be bad… I don’t want to embarrass the student council.
“By the way!”
“Is there anything else?”
“I’ll join if you’ll join too!”
“Then just quit.”
“Ah, that’s a bit much.”
What do you guys want from me?
I don’t think that my presence will be either poison or medicine, do you? I mean, I’m not that much of a mood-maker.
But if I just join, will Nee-chan and Ishida come too…
…
…….then I guess I can join in?
I’m sure I won’t be so nervous if those two are there… Besides, I might be able to overcome my distrust of women by venturing into a deadly place full of junior high school girls.
“It seems that the number of participants will increase if I go. Then I’ll participate just this once.”
“Yay!”
“We did it!”
“Thank you very much! Sakamoto-senpai!”
All three of them were very happy. We concluded our discussion with a detailed explanation to be given at a later date. Afterwards, I spent a little time talking with the student body president.
After we broke up, I walked down the hallway by myself and thought back to what I had just said.
I was able to talk to her in a normal way even though I was dealing with a woman. Maybe I’m getting better.
At this rate, it’s only a matter of time before the symptoms get better.
Then I will be able to talk with Youka… And when that happens, I will be the first to apologize to her.
“But right now, I’m afraid just to imagine seeing her.”
“What are you afraid of? Yuuji-sama?”
“No, don’t worry about it… rather, are you coming?”
“Yes, I’m here! Let’s go home together!”
Well, okay.
I decided to go home with the young lady, keeping my distance from her.
As I expected, there was no conversation between us, and the occasional humming of the young lady’s voice stuck in my ears.
~ Yashiro's Point of View ~
“Huh?”
After Yuuji and Karen left, Yashiro cleaned up the cups for the four of them. However, as he was putting away Yuuji’s cup, he noticed something.
“Sakamoto-senpai, you haven’t even drunk a sip of tea. What’s wrong?”
“Eh? But you were looking at the cup the whole time, weren’t you?”
Takamiya got up from her seat and checked the contents of her cup as well.
“It’s true…”
It had not decreased after all.
There was no sign of drinking anywhere. It was as if he had no intention of drinking from the beginning…
“He must have been sick.”
“Well…he always makes sure he drinks it all up.”
“I’m sure he’s not feeling well! Please contact Ishida-kun! I’ll tell Sakamoto that a Kouhai is coming!”
“Yes, I understand!”
The two began to act as if nothing had happened.
