Chapter 32: Expedition part 2
Translator: Soafp
I charge into the horde of goblins alone.
While running, I instantly activate body enhancement magic. It consumes mana, but for safety, I cover my body’s surface with magic and raise my defense just in case.
Upon contact with the leading goblin, I jump and deliver a knee kick to its face. It seems its neck was broken, resulting in instant death. As a bonus, I use sonar to investigate the inside of the goblin’s body.
The physical strength is roughly equivalent to that of an adult male. Due to their smaller size, they might be weaker. This should be manageable!
Upon landing, I slip through the goblins and, as I pass by, casually decapitate them. Behind me, several goblin heads fall.
Moving further into the group, the surroundings are filled with goblins. I thrust into the chest of the goblin in front of me, then pierce the temple of the adjacent goblin.
While running, I take down goblins with a single thrust to the neck, head, or heart. Soon, there are no goblins around me. Using a space kick, I move into the air, and a bit away, there is a mass of goblin corpses.
Quickly, I throw the short knives I’m holding. The knives embed themselves in the foreheads of two goblins, and those goblins collapse on the spot.
I promptly retrieve the knives using gravitational magic. They return to my hands, and I fly through the air again, crushing the heads of two goblins with my feet while maintaining magical reinforcement on my legs.
Ten goblins…
Now it’s time to get serious, using space kicks to engage in three-dimensional combat. With knives and kicks, I will kill three more goblins, ensuring clear visibility before ascending to the air again.
A little ahead, three goblins are gathered. While holding a knife in my right hand, I point my fingers at the enemy. I use the Wind Cutter magic.
For an instant, the air seemed distorted, and invisible blades decapitated the three goblins.
Seventeen goblins…
I escalate further, using knives and leg techniques to defeat four more.
Twenty-one goblins…
Suddenly, I spot what appears to be the boss of the enemy at the rear. It’s about two sizes larger than a regular goblin, and its color is a dark red-black with a large sword in hand.
Next to the boss are two goblins, presumably bodyguards. One seems to be a healer, and the other is a warrior holding a large shield.
I hesitated for a moment, but after all, they are just goblins… Their appearance doesn’t pose much of a threat.
I shouted at the boss and the two accompanying goblins.
The boss and the others probably didn’t expect me to charge in. They had surprised expressions on their faces… looking bewildered in front of the enemy.
In the brief time it took to reach the boss, I extended a blade made of magic from the short knives and transformed it into a greatsword.
Swinging the magical weapon (greatsword) overhead…
A flash…
I cleaved through the boss, warrior, healer, and the three goblins in one go.
Twenty-five goblins…
The boss’s demise caused the remaining small fry to start fleeing.
Chasing the escaping goblins, I mow them down with my knives and shoot magic…
Honestly, it was becoming tedious to chase and kill the fleeing goblins.
Twenty-eight goblins…
I randomly kill a few more, and in the end, two goblins manage to escape.
[Laila’s PoV]
At the moment when I thought we were about to collide with the enemy, a knee kick…
Who on earth is knee-kicking a monster?
After landing, he smoothly moves through the midst of the horde.
In Aldo’s wake, goblins become blood-soaked and fall.
Some bleed from the neck, others from the chest, and still others fall, blood streaming from their heads.
Sometimes he runs through the air and throws knives.
Other times, he shoots invisible magic from the sky.
While watching, the speed keeps increasing.
As Aldo passes, blood splatters, more blood…
As this goes on, a goblin general appears at the rear.
That’s seriously bad! Just when I thought that, both the goblin healer and goblin knight, the entourage, were sliced in one go…
I couldn’t comprehend what I was witnessing.
Aldo stands alone…
Surrounded by knights and mages too numerous to count, not a single voice or sound breaks the silence.
It’s as if moving would result in being torn apart by the beast right in front of them.
Though he appears like a child, he is covered in the blood of his enemies, looking anything but human.
Someone whispered.
Shura…
A demon born in the eastern country, finding purpose in battle, living for it, and eventually dying in the midst of it…
As tension rises, one voice echoes.
“You idiot, Aldo! Come back!”
It’s the voice of a young girl, still carrying the remnants of her youth.
[Aldo PoV]
I let the burst of magical energy dissipate, allowing the blood spatter to fall. Then, I turned toward Ashera, a childlike smile on his face, and walked slowly.
“How was it? My Vanguard?”
Ignoring the tension around him, My mother spoke.
“Al! Why did you charge into the enemy like that?”
“Because Captain Laila told me to attack in the way I’m best at…”
“Idiot! It means to use your best magic!”
“Ah, is that what it meant?”
Rafina interjected, and those around us expressed a mix of understanding and exasperation.
As the tension began to ease, Laila, still visibly tense, approached and questioned me.
“Aldo-kun, who are you really?”
Though she spoke peacefully, her hand rested on her staff, ready for combat.
“What do you mean? I’m just a 10-year-old kid.”
“Don’t mess with me! Can an ordinary 10-year-old massacre a goblin horde?”
“Even if you say that…”
“I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re some monster disguising as a kid using some kind of trick.”
“A monster? Is there a monster that can transform into a human? Are there any here?”
“…”
“What kind of creature is he? Is there one here too?”
“…”
“Um…”
“Haa… That’s enough.”
“…”
“I’m tired… I need a bit of rest.”
Captain Laila cast a gaze at me, a mix of caution and bewilderment, and headed towards the carriage. Was it because of me?
A subtle tension filled the air.
“Nii-sama, that was amazing.”
“Aldo is getting carried away.”
El and Ashera discussed their impressions of my battle.
“If it’s about that much, even two people could handle it, right?”
My words made the surrounding knights and mages look at us with surprised faces.
“While it’s not easy, I think we could manage.”
“I could defeat them more easily.”
The two spoke casually, without any signs of pressure. From that moment, the lord’s mansion came to be respected as the “House of Shura.”
Mother calls out to the three of us who are happily talking to each other.
“Al, El, Ashera, let’s go back for now.”
“””Yes.”””
The four returned to the resting place to finish our lunch.

😂 Aldo, you little murder-machine you. 😂
I do suspect him of misunderstanding accidently on purpose!
