Side Story 7: The ending of a woman’s life
Translator: Soafp
TL: This some good karma.
“You’re the victim …… heh~.”
I thought she was very beautiful.
And a naughty type of woman like me.
But thanks to seeing Kaede Yamamoto, I may have developed a strange tolerance …… to her, making her seem a little more normal.
I’ve been with that sister for a long time, she might have felt more ordinary.
It seems that Fumika Kirishima is interested in me posing as a victim, and she actively tried to meet me.
“…… that’s right.”
“Poor soul…… that guy seriously sucks!”
“Yeah.”
She completely believed that he’s the perpetrator.
If I were in the opposite situation, I would definitely trust him. …… You’re an idiot. …… Even if that makes me an outcast in class, I can put up with it if I can get Ryosuke Yamamoto.
Well, there is no way I could be in the opposite position, and I don’t really know what would happen.
“Speaking of which…Yamamoto has a childhood friend…do you know that? “
“I don’t know ……, is it a girl?”
“Yeah yeah, she always hangs around Yamamoto. Sometimes when she’s alone, I scare her, and she has tears in her eyes,……, and it’s funny.”
“Hm~mm.”
Oh, she is the worst.
She talks about her own misdeeds as if it was a saga.
Even we don’t say anything about criminal acts in public.
“What’s her name, ……?”
I asked Kirishima-san.
She answered with a grim expression on her face.
“….. Mai Nakazato.”
“…Is that so?”
She really seem to hate him a lot. Just mentioning his name makes her look like she is going to die of disgust. I think maybe she hates a woman named Mai Nakazato more than Ryosuke Yamamoto.
But this was the kicker that allowed me to become friends with Fumika.
When we talked about Ryosuke Yamamoto and his childhood friend, we really got into it.
“When I threatened to make Yamamoto suffer, she cried and said, ‘Don’t make Ryosuke suffer any more’. Seriously, Nakazato is too annoying – she’s too miserable clinging to Yamamoto to any extent, even though she’s a trashy woman in the habit.”
“Haha, truly pathetic, huh?”
Well, the miserable one is Fumika, who is not taken seriously by Ryosuke Yamamoto and can’t even get rid of his childhood friend.
I also find this story amusing, so I guess the two worst people are drawn to each other by a strong attraction.
She is so beautiful, but she has the same personality as me.
On the contrary, Ryosuke Yamamoto is a kind man who tried to help me.
He has a kind childhood friend who will stay with him …… and will not abandon him no matter what kind of harassment he receives.
The same kind of people call friends, is a well-written phrase.
I’ve been talking to Fumika a lot.
I didn’t have many female friends and I was quite happy to be friends with Fumika. She is a beautiful person, and I can feel myself being around her.
However, our friendship came to an end quite easily.
Because—-
Our sins were exposed…
My brother, of course, was fired from his job.
Unlike me, he is an adult and will not be able to avoid jail time.
My parents, who had no idea what was going on, are also scratching their heads.
My father was fired after his company was identified, and my mother is now being harassed by the neighbors.
Fumika calls me like a demon.
“How dare you deceive me all this time!!”
She yelled at me over the phone once I picked up to try it out.
“I haven’t seen the three idiots since …… this incident.”
Rumor has it that even though they have moved to a new house, word has gotten out and no matter how much they run away, they are still being identified and are having a hard time.
They are always scared to death, and all three of them never go out of the house.
But I’ve been in a lot of trouble myself.
“I-It hurts! Stop it!”
I was once surrounded by a group of strangers with a sense of justice and beaten and kicked.
It was really horrible and unbearable. …… We have threatened people, but we have never hit anyone like this.
I went home and told my dad about this.
He got fired from his job and now he’s holed up at home all the time.
I hope he finds a job soon, but how long is he going to stay home?
“…..These kids you deceived have been hurt beyond compare, don’t you see that?”
“………Tsk, that’s enough!”
“……………”
Aah, seriously the worst, annoying, and a shitty father.
What’s more painful for the kids who got deceived……!
I’m the one who’s the victim now, and it’s already over! You just keep rehashing the whole thing!
Mom is just staying quiet and not saying anything… She always helps me out when I’m being lectured, but not this time! She’s the worst!
I close the door to my room with a bang.
I took off my clothes and checked my injuries because I had been beaten. …… There were no noticeable wounds, just some reddening in a few places.
This is no evidence!
I gave up on appealing to the police.
I couldn’t expect any help from my family anymore.
I will not even go to school anymore.
I was abused when I went there, and I had no place to stay.
I don’t even have a home, but I feel safe when I’m shut in my room, so I’m okay.
A few months passed, and one day I heard my mother screaming from the living room.
Thinking something was wrong, I went to the living room and found my father lying there.
It seemed that he had committed suicide.
The suicide note on the table reads, “I will die to atone… I truly love you, Miho. But I’m sorry.”
“I love you” was only to my mother, and no matter how much I read it over, there was not a single mention of my brother or me. It seems to me that it is safe to assume that he committed suicide because of our mistake.
I realized that we had done something irrevocable.
We had done something irrevocable.
It took my father’s death for me to finally understand.
My mother clung to my father until the ambulance arrived.
It was an irredeemable hellscape.
…… and the day of the funeral.
I was stunned by my father’s image. My father’s former colleagues and friends would abuse me and look at me in a terrible way.
I was afraid of that, and I hated it.
The people who visit me feel sorry for my mother, but they never look at me favorably.
I still hadn’t accepted my father’s death, and thanks to that, it turned out to be a really hard and painful funeral.
But what my mother said to me when we were cleaning up was the most painful thing of all.
It was something I will never forget.
“I wish I had never given birth to you.”
–Ten years have passed since then.
A few months ago, I ate up all of my inheritance, and I’m still managing to make ends meet today by working at a convenience store.
My mother has long since left home, and my brother, who got out of prison a few years ago, was taken away by the Yakuza after another screw-up.
When I happened to see him on the street, he had lost his right arm. …… He probably has an even harsher life than I do.
“…… Fuu…… it’s hard to walk.”
I walk with a limp, too.
Not long ago, I had an accident and seriously injured my leg.
But it was an accident caused by carelessness when I stepped off the stairs, so I can’t get any compensation from anyone.
Due to the accident, I cannot move my right leg freely.
I wonder how ugly I look to those around me …… as I walk with a limp.
I can’t afford to buy new clothes, so I’m wearing a tattered T-shirt.
At least I don’t look like I’m 26.
I have no confidence in my appearance anymore.
I can’t afford to look well put together, and I doubt anyone will want me anymore.
On my way home from my part-time job, I was tired from walking and decided to take a short break on a park bench to recover my strength.
I saw a figure approaching me.
“…… This is for you.”
“…… Eh?”
An elderly stranger suddenly handed me a 1,000 yen bill.
I thought he was after my body, but …… apparently not.
I was embarrassed to know that this elderly man had often seen me scavenging in the garbage, and he also felt sorry for me because I had recently developed a limp.
In other words, this is embarrassing money to receive.
I’m so frustrated …… I have a house that my parents paid off the mortgage on, but I’m being mistaken for a homeless person.
This is unacceptable.
It’s true that when my brother was released from prison, he took some furniture and other things with him, and he is not mistaken that my life is so hard that I have to scavenge through garbage.
Still, I wanted to push this kind of money back right now……
…… but I can’t do that.
My family’s savings have run out and I’m barely able to eat at my part-time job. Most of the money I earn at my part-time job disappears with the alimony.
So, this one thousand yen is too much to give up.
“Thank you very much ……….”
“No, no, you are young, please do your best.”
Seriously, he is meddlesome.
But I will only accept the money.
I made sure the old man was gone and clutched the thousand yen I had received tightly.
I was about to put it in my pocket. ……
……That’s exactly when I did it.
—Pasapasa
For a moment, I couldn’t believe my eyes.
Suddenly, a few thousand yen bills started pouring down from above my head.
I looked up to see what was going on.
And then ……
This time I rolled my eyes.
“………………”
“Ryosuke…… Yamamoto……”
Ryosuke Yamamoto, whom I thought I would never see again, was standing right in front of me. In other words, the money now is definitely from this guy …… he scattered around.
Why did he give me charity?
“……… Uhm”
I don’t know his intention.
But I haven’t seen him in a long time, and he is more radiant than when he was a student. It is as if the burning passion of love is rekindled, even though I hated him so much.
“…..I’m sorry about that time.”
He gave me money, right?
That means he forgave me, right?
Maybe God has given us a chance to get along …… for all the suffering we have been through.
In fact, he comes up to me, smiling gently.
I’ve never taken care of my skin, and even my clothes are a bit stained. I was so close to his face that …… Ryosuke Yamamoto began to softly and carefully say certain words one at a time in my ear:
Serves
You
Right
“………HIII?!”
I trembled from the bottom of my heart.
He has not forgiven me. …… Of course, there is no way he has forgiven me. I have not made amends in a way that would allow him to forgive me, and he has no reason to forgive me.
I look at his face again.
This time, he looked down at me on the ground with a distorted expression on his face.
How could a human being have such an expression?
He looks down on me to no end as I fall to pieces. He laughs happily at my suffering. Even after all these years, even after ten years, he still seems to hold a grudge against me.
“Ryosuke~…..is everything okay?”
Mai, who knew nothing about me, appeared waving her hand.
It looked to Mai, who had never met a woman named Yuki Matsuda, that Ryosuke was trying to help her when she was lying on the ground.
Of course, she does not think that Ryosuke did anything wrong, and in fact, he would never do anything to hurt anyone.
Except for a few people.
This woman is the first of those “except some”.
No matter how many years have passed, no matter whether Yuki Matsuda saved the world or her own life, she is someone he will never forgive.
Neither has he forgiven his classmates.
However, he doesn’t have any intention to harm them by going out of his way to find them. If they happen to be nearby, he might try to take advantage of the situation… but that’s about it.
Ten years ago, he was a different person, but thanks to his current age, he has softened his thinking toward his classmates to that extent.
But this one Yuki Matsuda —- is different.
She is the cause of all this, and she is the one person he absolutely cannot forgive.
A person who should not be forgiven at any cost.
In fact, he was looking for her whereabouts in order to get revenge, but he just couldn’t find her until the very end.
He asked Kotaro, who might know her whereabouts, but he said he couldn’t find her.
But of course, Kotaro knew where Yuki Matsuda was.
But he did not want Ryosuke’s beautiful hands to be soiled by such a woman, so he did not tell him.
Ryosuke, who did not know about it, had given up on the idea that it could not be helped if even Kotaro could not figure it out. He had already given up on revenge, forcibly pushed his negative feelings deep into his heart, and planned to chew on his present happiness.
And yet, there was the person he wanted to take revenge on right in front of him.
“……..Haha”
But what happened?
The person whom he should revenge received the money from the old man and clutched the bill in his hand regretfully.
Without any further action on his part, the other party had already fallen to the point of corruption.
It was ridiculous and unbearable.
Ryosuke took out a few thousand yen bills from his wallet and scattered them on the head of the woman who was the source of his false accusation.
When she looked up and their eyes met, the woman became impatient.
(Aah …… happiness is important, but …… revenge is also important.)
Ryosuke felt his chest lighten up.
If people are happy, they don’t need revenge. Nothing comes from revenge. Forgiving bad people makes a human being grow as a person. It’s not dignified to continue to hold a grudge over something that happened ten years ago. He should forgive her if he cares about Mai.
It is a big mistake to think that way.
There is no reason why he should not hold a grudge because he is happy.
Ryosuke was going to keep resenting her until his death.
If he found such a person, he would take revenge.
If that person had fallen, he would have gladly toddled off with all his heart.
Ryosuke is a gentle man, but he is merciless to the point of no return when it comes to the target of his vengeance.
“Everything is fine, let’s go”
“S-sure”
He walks away from the criminal with Mai’s hand pulled away.
Looking behind him at the hapless Yuki Matsuda, who was scraping up the money he had scattered, Ryosuke laughed in amusement.
The amount was five thousand yen.
As if to say that this was too much for her, Yuki Matsuda carefully tucked the bill deep into her pocket.
It was no longer worth several hundred thousand yen to him.
She picked it up and realized it.
She couldn’t stop crying when she thought about it.
A woman who is always slow to notice.
There was no trace of the woman who used to scream about how little money was in the hundreds of thousands of yen.
“Uugghh…..”
Yuki Matsuda leaves the park as if to run away.
Her limping feet hurt.
But she has no family to help her.
From now on…
After she spends this few thousand yen…
How will she survive?
She is doing her best just to think about it.
(I’m already deeply sorry…
…Someone please help me.)
Empty prayers won’t reach anywhere.

A lot of high school kids/teenagers do crime and think they will get away with it because they are young, in my country there's lots of cases, SA, Speeding, Robbery etc, in the real world all they get is a slap on the wrist and then they redo the crime later....glad atleast here she has no salvation, none of them deserves it.
Kaede and the like atleast wasnt directly involved, although seeing her PoV its incredibly stupid how easily Kaede believed her.
this is embarrassing to read im ngl but i shouldn't expect any less lmao
That was so f*ckin cathartic! The hammer of justice does not discriminate! Divine retribution!
this was such a good ch
Thank you for the chapter!
Thank you for the chapter!
Never forget: THERE IS NO MEDICINE FOR REGRET. YOU CAN'T GO BACK TO THE PAST.
Never forget: THERE IS NO MEDICINE FOR REGRET. YOU CAN'T GO BACK TO THE PAST.
I felt bad for her parents who had to deal with the two siblings actions, especially the mother who lost her significant other.
How in the world did those two end up like that is beyond me.
In all honestly despite her end.
I wish someone would save her at least. It looks like she is regretting it all and is suffering daily.
True Karma came back hard, but still.........I can't help but feel pity.
This girl is mental I swear. Did she seriously expect to just get a wrist slap for her actions and everything would be fine? Bruh, what you did. Not only did you commit this fraud once, but 6 to several times. You were extremely lucky you dodged prison time. In any other country you'd be spending at least 70 years to life in prison with a fine of at least hundreds of thousands.
Thank you for the chapter !
Thanks for the chapter. Sweet sweet revenge. Finally, this is what i was waiting for.
1.- Damn! karma hit her so hard, but she deserves it!
2.-Thank for the chapter!
3.-"She really seem to hate HIM a lot. Just mentioning his name makes her look like she is going to die of disgust..."
Don't you mean "She really seem to hate her" since they are speaking about Mai?
