※ We easily won the sports festival.
Once the sports festival ended, we swiftly plunged into the cultural festival, riding the momentum. However, because we won by an overwhelming margin, the excitement waned more than usual. It was a bit of a letdown.
Even though we easily won the final relay and it’s no exaggeration to call it a complete victory, it was quite a mess. Blame the other classes for allowing Class B to run away; Class B just did their best.
Ultimately, it merely proved that preparation beforehand is crucial. The outcome is decided before the actual fight. Even Sun Tzu wrote that in The Art of War. Always thankful to you, Sun Tzu!
Shakado, who splendidly shone as the MVP, became a hero. Her brave feats, akin to Hercules Beetle, will likely be talked about for a long time to come.
There were some troubles along the way, but Takahashi and Kimura Senpai also reconciled.
Actually, Takahashi wasn’t angry with Kimura Senpai. There were no hard feelings between them when they apologized in the infirmary. If anything, they became even closer than before.
Nevertheless, due to the excessive hate that was directed towards Kimura Senpai, they could have become isolated even after the sports festival. However, since they returned from the infirmary while displaying a friendly attitude with Takahashi, things will probably settle somehow.
As a gesture of remorse, it seems Kimura Senpai will shave his head. It’s a classic but simple and effective method. It also shows how much regret they have.
I can understand Kimura Senpai’s feelings. Even if someone says they want to start over after being rejected once, the scars of betrayal tend to linger. It’s hard to accept it straightforwardly. It will probably take some time to process these feelings. Hopefully, both parties find a satisfactory resolution.
“It’s finally the cultural festival, Yuki!” (Shiori)
Shiori’s ponytail swings energetically. It seems she’s in a great mood.
With the cleanup of the sports festival done and classrooms steadily preparing for the cultural festival, for no reason, I put on a Kaiser mustache, cross my arms looking important, and nod with an air of indifference. Very important-looking indeed.
“…What’s with that mustache?” (Shiori)
“It’s a party item. I thought I might use it somewhere.” (Yuki)
I pluck off the Kaiser mustache and throw it in the trash, then eagerly speak up.
“I’m looking forward to Sayuri-sensei’s maid costume.” (Yuki)
“Shut it, you idiot! Haa? What are you saying!? Don’t mess with me, Yukito Kokonoe! I worked hard, right? I’ve never worked so hard in my life, have I!?” (Sayuri)
For some reason, the immature adult is throwing a fit. I send a look of disbelief toward Sayuri Sensei.
“Sensei. Working hard might be forgiven only among students. Once you step into society, working hard won’t cut it. You have to deliver results.” (Yuki)
“I don’t want to be lectured by someone who hasn’t even stepped into society as a student!” (Sayuri)
“Whining won’t work. The world is tough, you know.” (Yuki)
“Why am I the one who has to be lectured here?” (Sayuri)
“Don’t worry. I’ve increased the sexiness by 30%.” (Yuki)
“Nooo! W-wait, right. Fine, understood. It’s money, right? You want money, huh?” (Sayuri)
“You are the worst.” (Yuki)
As I try to calm down the uncontrollable adult, Tomomi Iwakura, also known as the leader of the Iwakura diplomatic mission, rushes in, looking frantic.
“What should we do? They’re gone, completely gone! I can’t find them anywhere—” (Iwakura)
“What’s wrong, Iwakura-san?” (Hinagi)
Hinagi-chan approaches Iwakura, concerned. Following closely, Mineda and the others also rush in.
“Oh, Kokonoe-chan! It’s bad! The costumes we were keeping have disappeared!” (Minda)
“I see…” (Yuki)
Absolutely chaotic, everything just keeps piling up.
As I listen closely to the pale-faced Mineda and the others, it appears that two of the maid costumes they had finished sewing and stored for use in the cultural festival have mysteriously vanished.
“It’s simply theft.” (Yuki)
“Hey, what do we do? It’s too late!” (Iwakura)
The costume production team, aka the Iwakura diplomatic mission, is in a panic. They only have a few costumes left that need some touch-ups. Iwakura and the others had decided on the designs themselves and put a lot of effort into them, so their expressions hold a sense of disappointment.
“It seems to be an inside job.” (Yuki)
“Seems that way.” (Miho)
Putting aside the refreshingly handsome man’s not-at-all-cool face, it goes without saying that the crime could not have been committed by an outsider. It’s hard to imagine an outsider breaking into the school, and what kind of pervert is he doing, especially if his purpose is to steal the maid uniforms to be used at the school festival?
“Was anything else stolen?” (Yuki)
“No. It seems to be only the clothes we were making. Is this some kind of harassment?”
Even the gal, Mineda, looks downcast. It seems like we, or maybe just me, have managed to earn some serious resentment. In other words, it’s not that Class B was targeted by chance; the goal of the theft was to trouble us from the start.
“…Theft, huh? It’s not something we should make public, but we can’t just ignore it either.” (Sayuri)
Sayuri Sensei also wears a serious expression. There are security cameras installed in the school. If it becomes a hunt for the culprit, it will inevitably become a big deal. And once the truth is revealed, there will certainly be severe consequences.
Apart from me, everyone else is wrapped in a serious atmosphere.
“What should we do, Yukito?” (Hinagi)
Hinagi-chan looks at me with a worried expression.
“Hey, Kokonoe-chan. Maybe they’re hidden somewhere in the school? If so, if we all search now—” (Mineda)
“Well, let’s calm down.” (Yuki)
I reassure the anxious Mineda. There’s no need to worry about anything. Yes, I’ve anticipated something of this level. No matter what problem arises, if I take on that shady mastermind persona and say, “That’s also my doing,” somehow, things will work out.
“Just in case, I made three costumes using the copied patterns. I’ll bring them from home. Well, I only made them because my mom and sister wanted them.” (Yuki)
Yes, I couldn’t withstand the pressure from my family, so I’ve been making maid costumes at home. Naturally, one of them is for Sekka-san. My sewing skills have definitely reached their limits.
“As expected of you, Kokonoe-chan! You did it!” (Mineda)
“You’re quite something…” (Hinagi)
Cheers erupt throughout the classroom. While Mineda grabs my hands excitedly, Hinagi-chan looks bewildered. The refreshing handsome guy avoids eye contact.
“But, there’s a slight problem…” (Yuki)
“What’s wrong, Yukito Kokonoe? You’re not saying you know who the culprit is, right?” (Sayuri)
Looking apologetic, Sayuri Sensei timidly speaks up.
“No, it’s not that… It’s just that, due to my family’s request, the sexiness level has increased from 30% up to 50% – 70%. I’m not sure if it’s appropriate.” (Yuki)
Sayuri Sensei’s frustrated opinion is denied, and the formal adoption is decided.
“No waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyy!” (Yuki)
Adults really are terrible at accepting things.
After school, feeling uncomfortable in the unfamiliar school uniform, I spot the person I’m looking for.
“Good, I found you. You’re Myo Okajima, right?” (Yuki)
“I heard you’re Kimura-senpai’s ex-girlfriend.” (Yuki)
“?! W-Who is here?” (Myo)
“I came to talk a bit about Kimura-senpai. I don’t want to stay too long and risk being noticed, so I’d like to leave soon. Shall we go to a café or something?” (Yuki)
Despite being cautious, Okajima-senpai seems to have some thoughts upon hearing the name I mentioned and obediently follows.
It’s hard to imagine an outsider infiltrating.
While saying that, I, Yukito Kokonoe, am adept at infiltrating other schools.
