V5Ch2: Shocking morning, school skewering murders!!!! Part 7
In the white mist, golden tails were swaying.
“Lun lun lun~”
One can even hear the appropriate humming.
Her light steps are like dancing. A puddle of red blood spreads around her, making a pitter-patter sound.
“Zeta-sama, you are in a good mood.”
Zeta’s humming stopped suddenly when she heard a voice call out to her.
“I was getting to the good part”
Zeta twirled the blood-glue-covered chakram around with her fingertips.
“Don’t throw it, please.”
A small, hooded girl emerged from the white mist.
“I won’t throw it. Where’s Victoria?”
“She is working on a plan.”
Zeta, who had been spinning the chakram, suddenly threw it into the air.
A man’s head fell from above. It cracked and crumbled, with a look of astonishment plastered on its face.
“It seems that Shadow-sama has intervened in the affairs of Princess Alexia and Claire.”
“Claire-sama, I see.”
The girl’s hood shook as the chakram sliced through the wind.
“Be careful. So, where’s my Lord?”
“He took care of the head librarian and got them out of the sanctuary.”
“As expected. Now Fenrir is cornered.”
“Yes. The next move may be limited. How is Zeta-sama’s progress going?”
“The analysis of the sanctuary.”
“Ah, it’s done.”
“Already? It’s only been a few days. ……”
“Eta’s artifact is excellent.”
Zeta said and took out a strange palm-sized device.
When she pours magic power into it, the device glows thinly.
“Visualization of the magic circuit. I can see at a glance where it flows and what it means.”
Light like thin blood vessels spread out. Pulsing, it leads to a cylindrical red light.
In the four lights are the students of the school, linked by thin tubes.
They are trying to break the seal with their magical power.
“It seems that their magic power is not enough.”
“Yes. So they need high quality magic power from the descendants of heroes. How did the Church seal the demon Diabolos and how did they create the sanctuary? I have a rough idea.”
“So are you done?”
“What do we do now? If we destroy this tube, the seal will not be destroyed.”
The hooded girl asked, and Zeta pondered for a moment.
But the answer was obvious. She simply wanted to be sure of her own resolve.
“Are you sure?”
“I have already made my decision.”
With these words, Zeta walked out through the fog.
She passed through a red light and held her hand over the huge door beyond.
“The right arm of the demon Diabolos is sealed at the end of it.”
“What are you going to do?”
“I would like to take a look at it as a memorial.”
“Would you like to sign it?”
“That’s good, too. Zeta is here.”
Zeta then poured her magic power into the door.
The door was inscribed with countless ancient letters, and thick chains were wrapped around it.
“Will it open?”
“Who knows. But it was her who sealed the demon’s right arm on this land.”
“I’m sure she’ll respond.”
Zeta poured more magic power into the door.
The door glowed red and a magic circuit spread through the space. The sound of chains creaking and squeaking could be heard, and the door was shaking slightly.
However, the door did not open.
The magical circuit concentrated in front of the door, forming a human figure with its vein-like thin light.
At Zeta’s instruction, the hooded girl moves away.
Soon the thin light disappears, and there stands a beastman.
She had golden hair, golden cat ears, a golden tail, and cat-like eyes. Her appearance bore a striking resemblance to Zeta.
“This is …….”
The hooded girl gasped.
“Nice to meet you, Hero of the Beastmen.”
“Zeta-sama, what in the world is this ……?”
“I knew it was coming.”
Zeta said nonchalantly.
At that moment, the beastman hero cleaved her claws and cut off Zeta’s head.
Zeta’s raw head, which had flown widely through the air, disappeared as a black mist. At the same time, Zeta’s torso also disappeared.
The white mist mixed with the black mist, and out of it emerged an unscathed Zeta.
Floating in the air, she looked down at the beastman hero with her cold eyes.
“But I just wanted to make sure.”
The beastman hero did not respond. She just looked up at Zeta with emotionless eyes.
“Do you remember the day you first met my Lord?”
Zeta asked the hooded girl as she floated away.
“Of course I do. How could I forget?”
The hooded girl said, clutching her chest.
“Me neither. I’ve never forgotten that day.”
Zeta stared intently at the beastman hero. Beyond the figure, as if remembering the distant past.
“I was… a little kitten, picked up by my Lord.”
That was Zeta’s resolve.
“Bye bye, hero. I’m going a different path than you.”
Zeta nipped back on her heels.
The little hooded girl hurried after her.
“Are you sure you want to do this? You haven’t signed it yet.”
“Hmm. I’ll sign another time. We have achieved our goal at this stage. Now I will hide in the shadows until the time comes.”
“Then we will lurk in the shadows.”
The two girls disappeared into the depths of the fog, exchanging words.
The beastman hero stared at their backs.
