Chapter 66: Three enemies

Advent of Magic Outfits
[Demon Side]
It was a dark space, with a never-ending ceiling and a flat ground with neither grass nor a single stone. The vastness extended as far as the eye could see.
Eerily devoid of anything, except for four stone statues.
One was a demon statue with horns, aboumit two meters tall, wearing a white robe.
Another was a large golem, measuring about 3 meters (118 inch) in length.
The third was a skeleton swordsman, about 180 centimeters (70,86 inch) tall, dressed in clothes and carrying a single sword on its back.
And then, there was an overwhelmingly monstrous presence, unlike anything the other three could compare to. It had two wings resembling those of a dragon, abnormally elongated claws, and a large horn. It measured 15 meters (590 inch) in length.
The stone statues were completely still, but cracks began to form on the three of them. Slowly, but steadily, the cracks grew larger, and the outer shell of the statues peeled away, revealing life emerging from within.
The golem, the youthful demon, and the skeleton swordsman each assessed their current condition, touching their cheeks and clenching their fists. After taking a breath, the three of them started talking.
“Finally, the seal of petrification has been broken! Geez, the star spirits are really doing it for me~”
The male demon began to speak in a female tone. He snapped his neck.
“Totally, man. I didn’t think it would be this long even if I used the demon king as a shield on the spur of the moment.”
A large golem whirls its shoulders around, scattering clods of earth around the area. The atmosphere is one of giggling and good-natured merriment.
“….After all this time, the seal on the Demon Lord hasn’t been released….. huh”
Then, he unsheathed the sword he carried, examining it. It was a simple design longsword, with a black hilt and a gleaming pure white blade.
“More than that, the sword… it doesn’t seem to have changed in particular… as expected… the magic sword Delphid…”
The skeleton swordsman seemed to be more interested in his sword than the stone statue of the Demon Lord. He had a taciturn demeanor.
“I wonder how many years have passed? The petrification state lasted quite a long time”.
“Who knows? I have no idea”
“Approximately a thousand years”
“Ara, As expected of Bone Saburo. Counting the years, huh?”
“The Three Demon Musketeers, the strongest names aren’t just for show. Oi!”
“……I don’t need to hear that… If you have time to say those things, ‘Michelle,’ figure out a way to escape from here”
“Alright, alright, always so shy. But escaping… It’s not as easy as you make it sound. This place is like a barrier where those celestial spirits sealed us. I don’t think it’s that simple to get out. A vast plain that extends endlessly except for the ground”
Michelle looked around and then focused on the ground, where her foot touched the only area with a limit. She lightly tapped the ground with the tip of her shoe.
“I wonder if breaking this would work? Could you give it a good thump?”
“Sure thing! But if the ground is too tough, hitting it with full force might hurt, so I’ll go easy on it!”
“You’re surprisingly timid for your size.”
The golem, called “Don,” swung its shoulder around and scattered chunks of earth in the vicinity. It laughed gleefully, emanating a playful atmosphere.
“Oi,oi, I held back quite a bit, but this is incredibly tough… How many times harder than Artemis’ ground is this?”
“Hmm, this won’t work with straightforward methods… Hey, we are the highest force serving the Demon Lord, the king of demons, right? But among us, is there any demon who can raise their hand and swear absolute loyalty to the Demon Lord?”
“…”
“…”
Silence followed, and no one, including the skeleton swordsman, raised their hand. Michelle shrugged, as if already knowing the answer.
“Well, I knew that. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have used Demon Lord Beelzebub as a shield back then.”
“I served out of necessity.”
“I didn’t …… mean to serve him. I just …… somehow …… did because I could fight.”
“In that case, feel free to use these stone statues however you like”
Michelle touched the statue of the Demon King.
“Equivalent exchange…………….”
The lower half of the demon king’s stone statue transformed into a large black substance. It took more than an hour to convert the statue into this substance.
“…..What are you planning to do with that?”
“We’re going to use this to create a large weapon and escape from here.”
“Ooi, can you really do that?”
“I think so. I had plans to build a battleship before the seal, but I couldn’t find the right materials. However, I already had most of the blueprints ready… I just need to process this substance… Ah, I should turn the upper half of the statue into the same material too. It would be a hassle if it woke up and caused trouble.”
Michelle converted the upper half of the demon king’s statue into the black substance in about an hour as well. Then, she took out various equipment and items from her bag, which seemed to contain more than it should normally hold. Among them were the compiled blueprints for the battleship.
“Oh well, I killed the demon king. It can’t be helped.”
“Ara, that’s fine. Having the demon king around can be troublesome.”
“That’s true… There were fellow demons who were killed for a minor mistake…”
“Yes, yes. Let’s focus on the modifications now. It will take around three days, but until then, why don’t you both warm up your bodies?”
“Good idea… My ultimate technique, the Flash Celestial King Demon Sword, has gone rusty.”
“…I’ve been telling you to change the name for ages…”
“This is good enough…”
“Guahaha! It’s been a while since I had some exercise! Come on, come on!”
Golem (Don) started making a commotion, while the skeleton swordsman, Bone Saburo, swung his sword. The flamboyant demon scientist, Michelle, quickly processed the material.
What is this space, and who are these otherworldly beings here…?
On August 11th in the human world, the fate of the world will be entrusted to a certain group of high school girls.
This is just the prologue.
[Izayoi PoV]
This is the prologue that was written in the novel before the invasion by the Demon Tribe in “Masou Shoujo: Secret Five”.
After following events with no particular significance since enrollment, the invasion by the “demon tribe” begins. Their purpose is world conquest, for reasons that could be found anywhere, but the three attacking demons seem to consider world conquest as more of an afterthought.
Having betrayed the Demon King Beelzebub, these three demons have their own interests and objectives. As long as they prioritize their own desires, they don’t care about anything else. However, since they were former subordinates of the Demon King, they are planning to fulfill the Demon King’s aspiration for world conquest to some extent.
To start with, they send monsters to the modern world as a reconnaissance. These monsters are created by Michelle, the flamboyant demon scientist known as the “Ultra Star” and one of the Demon King’s top forces.
The reason for suddenly sending monsters to the modern world has various factors, and the fairy race (youkai-zoku) is aware of it in advance. The fairies have wings on their backs but otherwise resemble humans, and they come to this world from the otherworld Artemis.
And the story begins on August 16 when Gindou Kohaku, Hihara Karen, and Kikawa Moegi, who happened to meet one of the fairies.
Originally, I had planned to avoid the bad ending and then just observe. I thought there would be no problem, as long as I let them handle everything. I was content with avoiding the bad ending and didn’t think deeply about anything, just spending time carelessly.
However, I unintentionally caused Gindou Kohaku to experience something painful. In reality, she should not have been there, and it was unimaginable for her to meet a former classmate who had bullied her before. But because I was there, that situation occurred.
I regret my reckless actions, content with the current state and not thinking about the future. It was my fault that unexpected events occurred because I got involved with them. Although I managed to avoid the bad ending and wanted to return to being a mob, I also felt comfortable being around them, so I wanted to interact with them… I want to punch myself for having such conflicting thoughts deep down in my heart.
I am like a semi-regular character, someone who will eventually have connections with three out of the five incredibly beautiful girls who will bear the fate of the world. Such a role should have anticipated the possibility of irregularities occurring.
The things that might happen from now on may not go as I know from my knowledge. Therefore, my role is clear. I will support the “optimal solution” for the story that will begin with these girls and ensure they don’t face unnecessary danger.
Fortunately, I might have “magic” powers, so even without it, I will support them. Alright, my role is determined up to this point. And the first thing to do is…
Today is August 11th… First, I will invite Kataumi Aoi to Mina no Iro on August 16th, and have the four of them start working together from the beginning.

August 14, 2023 at 12:24 amYou know. I kinda pity the demons, they might expect normal magical enemies (leavening aside their strength) and not yandere girls that might power up 10000 times in a second just casual you looked funny at their boyfriend….

August 14, 2023 at 4:47 pmThanks for the chapter. Interesting, the prologue is quite good, if it were a novel, I would read it for sure. Looksl like Izayoi-kun is determinated, it is good, he needs to proper harem the remaining members and officially create the harem. I am looking forward to that epic moment. I can hardly wait.

August 14, 2023 at 5:49 pmGiven how boring many of the conflicts in this story are resolved. I don’t have high hopes that any of the future conflicts are gonna be resolved in any satisfying way.
