TL: Thanks some mob, I mixed the chapter lmao fking sleepy from grinding gil-fest
Kotono Harukawa’s birthday party is always a big affair.
People from conglomerates, welfare organizations, mayors, city councilors, and other influential people in the city show up.
However, Kotono’s friends were few and far between, with the only exception being Yoshimi Mukoujima, who attended every year as Kotono’s friend.
”Kotono-chan and I have hardly ever talked.”
From the time she lost her sight until the time she graduated from junior high school, Kotono went to a school for the blind in town, but she never talked about what life was like there.
She never talked about what life was like at the school, but I guess it wasn’t much fun for her, because she insisted on not going to the high school.
So in seventeen years, she made only two friends and acquaintances, me and Mukaishima.
I had to stay with her as her servant, so Mukaishima was a valuable friend who kept getting invited.
After graduating from junior high school, Mukaishima went on to attend one of the top public high schools in her hometown. She has a pretty face and a good figure. She’s probably very popular.
I took Kotono’s hand as she greeted the guests, and we walked around the venue.
Even though it’s a party, I can’t take advantage of the food, and I can’t help but feel stiff in the midst of all the bigwigs.
The party was also a charity event to raise and promote guide dogs. Naturally, the chairman of the guide dog association would be there, and he asked Kotono why she didn’t use a guide dog.
Kotono smiled graciously
“I already have a dog,” she said.
At the end of the birthday party, Kotono gave a violin concert.
I don’t know much about classical music, but I think there’s something about her performance that moves people’s hearts.
Some of the attendees even get teary-eyed, and the concerts are always a huge success.
There are people who want to make her debut as a “beautiful blind violinist,” but Kotono refuses all such offers.
She says that she doesn’t want to attract people’s sympathy or attention because of her handicap or appearance, even if it is purely for her music.
This year’s program was “Vitali Chaconne. When the performance was over, the audience broke into applause.
Kotono, who is usually a reclusive person, was showered with praise from the people around her. I was proud of her for being able to move so many people.
After the concert, the birthday party came to an end. Kotono and her parents see the attendees off, and the whole thing is over around ten o’clock in the evening.
When I returned to my room, Kotono looked tired as expected and drank the tea I had made in silence.
“I’m going to have to get a different one,” she said, putting her teacup down on her plate.
“I’ve got to go out tomorrow, Sasuke.
“That’s really sudden, isn’t it?
Kotono rarely changed her schedule.
She was very protective of the schedule she set for herself, and she always stuck to it.
“Mr. Blank is going to hold a small concert for me at his home.
His mother and father insist that I attend. I have no choice but to go.
He was the president of a railroad company in the Chuncheon Group, and I had met him a few times. His wife was an amateur piano player, but she was very good at it, and sometimes she wanted to have a private concert with Kotono.
“She sometimes wants to have a private concert with Kotono, and she asks me to have dinner with her, so I’ll be home late. I won’t be around anyway, so you can do as you please.”
I turn my head quickly as I answer.
I was thinking of a schedule for tomorrow that would suit Kotono’s needs. I predicted that she would ask me to give her a massage because her legs were tired from standing around all day anyway.
So I hadn’t made any plans to go out with my friends from school.
Could it be that this was God’s reward for my hard work all day today?
Taking advantage of the fact that Kotono can’t see me, I loosen my mouth and smile.
If that’s the case, there’s only one thing to do.
The next day.
The next day, after an early lunch, Kotono drove off in her car.
” I’ll finish early, so please wait a little longer. I’ll bring you some tea and snacks later, so call me when you’re done.”
Anna laughs and vacuums. She’s been very impressed with how diligent I’ve been studying lately, and she’s been taking care of me more than ever. To be honest, it hurts my heart.
“Well, good luck with your studies.”
After Anna closed the door with a smile, I started to set up as usual.
I took out a set of study tools from a paper bag at a department store and laid them out. I put a bath towel on top of the bedspread and put the Mimi-chan pillow next to it.
I think I’ll try something a little different today and use the “little sister” story I read yesterday.
As I was thinking about this, my cell phone on the table rang.
It was from Kotono. I hurriedly pressed the call button.
“Hello, what is it, Miss?
I took the call nonchalantly, trying not to let my agitation show in my voice. Kotono is very sensitive to even the slightest change in tone.
“Anna should be on her lunch break right now. Go to the kitchen and ask her if there’s anything unusual about her cleaning.”
“Ha, ha. Is something bothering you?
I wondered if she had noticed something. I cringed.
“It’s none of your business. Just go to the kitchen and ask her. Don’t use your cell phone, just go to the kitchen and ask her.
If she wanted to, she could tell Yonezu Yonetsu, the driver, to get in touch with Anna. I left Kotono’s room and headed for the kitchen.
Anna was in the middle of her lunch break, leisurely reading a book in the kitchen.
“Anything Unusual?…Nothing really.”
Anna looked up at me as if searching her memory and shrugged her shoulders.
“Hmm, I can’t think of anything in particular.”
“I don’t know. It’s okay then. I’m sorry to bother you on your lunch break.”
I called Kotono back.
But after one call
–I’ll connect you to the answering service. After the beeping sound, I was told to leave a message at …….”
After the beeping sound, I was told to leave a message at… What the hell is wrong with her using people like that?
I thought to myself
“Anna-san said nothing has changed.”
I left a message.
I went back to Kotono’s room and locked the door tightly from the inside.
I looked around the room. As Anna had said, there was nothing to worry about.
“I don’t know what the hell is going on here. I don’t get it.”
I complained as I took off my shoes and climbed into bed.
I gently smelled Kotono’s scent on Mimi-chan, unzipped my pants and immersed myself in my usual fantasy.
I knew I was going to have to go with the “little sister thing” today.
