Common Honorifics:
-san: A polite suffix, but not excessively formal.
-kun: A common suffix among friends and younger people.
-chan: A common suffix among people you’re close with, mostly used for feminine nicknames and girls, since it’s cutesy and childlike.

“Hmm, where should we have lunch?” I ask Usami, walking along with her.
“Well, Haru… I actually made lunch today! So, why don’t we eat together at a nearby park?” She blushes, suggesting it to me.
“Ah, yeah, that’s a nice idea.”
Her sudden proposal made me a bit jittery, but I gladly accepted it. Though, what would’ve happened if I didn’t accept it? Would her efforts go to waste just like that?
She went out of her way to cook both of us food, and that warmed my heart. Yet, I felt a little pinch on my chest. She risked wasting all of her preparation had I said “no”.
“… Thanks.”
“Hm? Something wrong?”
“No, it’s nothing. Let’s go, Usami!”
“Okay, this way, Haru!”
I bottle up the words that almost overflowed, walking along with Usami, her hand pulling me along. Five minutes pass, and we arrive at that small park. Only swings and slides dotted the place.
“Oh…!”
The only bench installed there already had an occupant. The man was sitting on it, headphones in, playing with his smartphone. He seemed to be playing a game, and from the looks of it, I could tell that it would be difficult to get him to step aside.
“Well, nothing we can do about it… Usami, shall we find someplace else?”
“Ah! Haru, look, a beautiful girl holding a crowbar right over there!” She pointed somewhere.
“Eh?”
I looked over, but found nothing out of the ordinary. Only a Jizo statue stood at the edge of the road with an indescribable expression on its face.
“Yo, Usami, no one’s there.”
“O–Oh, really?! T–That’s strange, I definitely saw her… Maybe I got confused by that Jizo statue or something!”
Her eyes scurried around in a hurry.
“Oh, would you look at that! The guy went somewhere, so let’s sit down while we can!”
“What.”
Did he run off somewhere in the split-second I looked away? I literally just turned around for a few seconds though!
“W–What’s the matter, Haru? Come on, sit down!”
“O–Okay…”
I sit down on a park bench, feeling a bit uncomfortable. After a short delay, she sat down and pulled a wrapped lunch box from her bag.
“I made all your favorite things today, Haru!”
Saying that, she opened the lid to the box. Inside, a plethora of dishes placed neatly. A feast to the eyes, for sure.
“So, there’s fried chicken, fried eggs with leek, bacon with asparagus, and boiled spinach—All of your favorites!”
These were indeed my favorite dishes, but I have just one question…
“Usami… How’d you know about my preferences?” I asked her a bit skeptical.
“Fufu~ I made your mother spill—I mean, she taught me!”
Usami then smiled widely… Um, she’s supposed to be smiling, but she doesn’t give a cheery vibe at all. I cut the convo short, thinking it’d be really dangerous to go any further.
“G–Got it… In any case, let’s eat!”
“Yup!”
After that, we ate the lunch Usami made, chatting away whilst seating on the freed bench.
Oh, by the way, the lunchbox was delightful.
Nijo’s POV
“Gamma and Delta, thank you for your efforts in eliminating the target.”
“Understood. What do we do with the knocked-out man?”
“Put him in a random place where he can’t be seen.”
“Yes, ma’am!”
Having finished the “elimination” of the man sitting on the park bench, I confirmed the mission with Gamma and Delta, who carried out the orders. Below us, the two had lunch over a nice chat.
To the uninitiated, they certainly seem like a normal couple, while in reality they’re not.
However, looking at the two made me impatient with myself. I never had a single boyfriend at the ripe age of 25. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy my job and find it fulfilling, but it never helped me to find a man.
I recall my colleague’s sorrowful cries, “In a few years, I’ll be too old to marry!”, and just thinking about it makes me sad. I wonder if I’ll suffer the same fate…
As I was consumed by my darkest fears, the two of them finally made their move. After talking for a while after lunch, they finally stood up and started walking. Soon, the young lady’s voice reaches my ears.
“Thank you for clearing the crowd during our lunch. We’re moving towards the department store now, and I appreciate your continued support.”
“As you wish, my lady.”
I then relay her orders to Pleiades.
“The young lady will begin moving. Her objective is the department store, and we should expect an increase in the number of targets to eliminate. Please be en guarde!”
“Yes, ma’am!”
As soon as I finished ordering the squad, both of them began moving. I hastily put on my disguise wig in anticipation of what was to come.

May 12, 2022 at 8:12 pmEliminated? Knocked out? They could have at least tried to ask him to move. Worse case scenario physically move him to a different location (without knocking him out) with their apparent super speed. The park can’t be that small. Committing battery (and potential head trauma) against pedestrians is not okay (or particularly funny in this context which would make it okay); its just criminal.
