Alexia looked up at the Midgar School building in the sunset.
The students, their classes over, walk past Alexia.
“I don’t trust the Knights. Neither can you, sister. ……”
She mumbled, remembering her conversation with Iris the other day.
Her sister had changed, and none of Alexia’s words had reached her.
“I have to do something about it. ……”
The Order is trying to resurrect Diabolos’ right hand somewhere in this school.
If she cannot trust anyone, she will have to do it herself. Once she stops the resurrection of the right hand and gets some hard evidence, everyone will believe her.
“Hey, get out of my way!”
Suddenly, Alexia was pushed from behind with tremendous force and turned around.
The sun was setting and a beautiful, dark-haired girl was holding her arms around her.
“If you stand there, you’ll get in the way of my charge.”
She didn’t make any sense.
Alexia looked at Claire with eyes filled with a mysterious confidence.
“You’re looking so dead. What’s wrong, Alexia?”
“I….I was thinking about the future.”
“Ara, that’s funny, I was thinking about that too.”
“You too, Claire?”
“Yes. Even if the truth is buried in the dark, it doesn’t end there. Someone needs to solve the case behind the scenes.”
“Besides, in case I haven’t told Alexia, …… I’m the Chosen One.”
Claire raised her magic-engraved right hand.
“It is my mission to save the world and protect Cid. That’s why I was given this power.”
“If we share the same goal, I’m willing to cooperate with you. Let’s go.”
Not knowing what was going on, Alexia was pulled by Claire by the arm.
But it wasn’t strangely uncomfortable.
“Where are we going!”
“Do you know where it is?!”
“I do —- my right hand is tingling.”
Claire paused, her face serious.
“Aurora doesn’t say anything, but I know. She is hiding something from me. A tingle in my arm leads me to the truth—“
Claire then unwrapped the bandage on her right arm.
The magic circle engraved on it glowed slightly.
“I can’t help but smell the scent of something fishy…….”
“It’s getting stronger little by little…the moment is near.”
And then the magic circle shone even more strongly.
The next moment, the world cracked and shattered like glass.
Alexia remembers this scene. It was the same scene she had seen when she was captured by the head librarian.
And then a white mist enveloped the school.
“W-What is this?!”
“Why is there fog in the school…..”
The fog covered the school, including students who were on their way home.
